Irritated every time I access the pencil

If you don’t use the apple pencil I would give this case 5 stars. Since I use the pencil I’m giving it two stars. It is a struggle to get the pencil out of the sliding tray without dislodging the entire tray and the tray comes off a lot easier than it goes back on. I don’t usually write reviews but after reading your responses to other critiques I felt compelled to do so. You don’t seem to want to admit that this wasn’t the best design. Go back to the drawing board. There is no shame in admitting that maybe you “missed the mark.” I had the previous iteration of this case and really liked it. I look forward to seeing how you solve this design problem. If you do, I will probably buy the new one. If you don’t use the apple pencil I would give this case 5 stars. This was a downgrade from my previous symmetry case. The materials feel more flimsy, and there is one particular design flaw: the cover has no lifting tab, so when trying to open the cover the instinct is to get a fingernail underneath so you can lift it open, but that’s when you can very easily catch the screen protector instead, and you will be lifting both the cover and the screen protector! I really wanted to like this case and hesitated a bit before deciding to return it.

Broke after 10 days of use.

The sliding channel popped completely off after 10 days of use and I can’t get it pop back in. This is absolutely absurd considering the price point of this product. I was willing to pay the price before because OtterBox has a reputation of high quality, but after this product, I question this company’s capacity for proper quality control measures.
Bring back the old case with the dedicated pencil channel. I had that one for 4 years with no issues.

Biggest Mistake I’ve Ever Made

I hate this case so much! The rubber trim is stretched on one side so it won’t lie flat against the side of the iPad, the pencil tray comes loose every time I pick up the case with a pencil in the tray. Now the rubber edge of the pencil tray has come loose along all but an inch of its length and I have only had an Apple Pencil for 3 months.I bought this case less than a year ago when I upgraded my iPad and, for the price, I expected much better quality. I’ve bought much less expensive cases that have been far more durable. We have been such fans of the Defender case for the iPhone so I’m very disappointed with this purchase.

The case seems okay, but I can’t use it with the alpha glass screen protector I bought. The protector fits corner to corner and regardless of how I adjust it the fit of the case is too tight and lifts the edges. I put screen protectors on devices everyday as part of my job so I know it’s not an issue with how it was applied. This case would be perfect if you’re using liquid glass. I’ve decided to just use the magic keyboard I ordered instead.

Piece of junk

I have always been an Otterbox user but now I’m not. This is the worst case ever. It must have been rushed to market. It doesn’t even have the logo on it. It’s very thin and the cover doesn’t stay on right. It won’t stand up either. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CASE!!!

Worst pencil holder ever

The case itself does a good job of protecting the iPad but the pencil holder makes it nearly impossible to get the pencil out. Very disappointed. Previous versions with the flap cover for the pencil were great.

Perfect case

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a blue OtterBox - iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (5th gen) Symmetry Series 360 Elite for free in exchange for my honest review. I have literally tried many cases and this one wins them all. First of all, the material is firm and seems durable. It definitely protects my iPad from bending. Secondly, the pencil slot is adjustable. The slot can be pushed in if you don't need it and be pulled out for your pencil. I hace a silicone wrap on my pencil and it still fits. Thirdly, all the holes align perfectly. Last but not least, the magnet is just stroke enough to support the weight of iPad while folded into triangle and standing up. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.
