Nice bag and felt well made, but it just didn't have the capacity I needed for my new work bag. I was pretty disappointed, but I do carry a lot of stuff with me. I wanted to keep it, but really have too many travel bags as it is!

Backpack did great as a camera bag for a combination of air travel and hiking, loved being able to convert between rolling and backpack. However, the nylon material seems cheap and not durable. On the first use, before getting on my first flight, the seam near the rolling handle ripped away and failed. Given almost no use, I’m hoping that High Sierra will cover under warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased the Powerglide Pro rolling backpack after a back injury which would not allow me to carry a heavy book bag at school. For that, it's perfect, I can fit every book I have, my laptop, my tablet, and everything else I could need inside this one pack. It's definitely a large pack, which would be excellent for traveling light if you were taking flights from place to place without the need for a large suitcase. It's definitely very sturdily constructed, compact for the volume it fits, and stylish to boot. The only thing I wish is that it had a few other small zipper pockets for small odds and ends that I need quick access to without having to open the full bag or dig through the compartment with the separator pockets. Otherwise, it's a fantastic bag which has been saving my back since I got it!

An attractive if less than functional carry-on

Very disappointed to find that "fits most 17" laptops" did not apply to my own laptop. In fact, so much sticks out of the designated laptop pocket that I wonder if any 17" laptops fit that pocket at all. In order to fit my laptop, I have to wrap it in clothing and put it in the much less padded main compartment, which is less than ideal. Additionally, the bag could use some additional, shallower pockets or compartments or smaller size zippered pockets to hold things like passports, wallets, or small tech items without forcing the user to rummage in deep pockets. As it is, I am contemplating buying a smaller bag to put in this bag to make it functional.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
