Noisy for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 15-year-old Thermador abruptly died, after extensive repairs three years ago, and we elected to buy this appliance as a replacement unit.
Temperatures, etc. work well However, for 11 grand, I would've expected a much quieter unit. I could never tell when the Thermidor was operating however, this unit is extremely noisy, comparatively. I think the interior of the freezer and refrigerator sections is better laid out than the old unit, giving More functional room. Icemaker is essentially the same unit as is in the Thermador. I think one company makes most of them. Time will tell regarding durability.

Freezer and Ice Maker issue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed 3 weeks ago and having an issue with the freezer not keeping things frozen. Doors are not aligning right. Seems to be a door issue. Will not dispense cubed ice. Its a mix of cubed and crushed ice.

Waited 4 months beyond promised delivery and arrip

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was promised for arrival in January, Finally arrived in April with a leak in the water dispenser. Now have to wait several more months for a whole new door. Kitchenaid service has been horrible.

Poor product

We bought ours in 2019. We have had the bulbs burn out, and recently replaced with a new model bulbs. We have had the refrigerator stop cooling and require service and replacement of control boards, water dispenser freeze up and stop functioning. Now we are waiting for freezer parts, which are supposed to solve the problem. The tech says after this just about everything will have been replaced and if this doesn’t fix it he will request a new refrigerator. I hope Whirlpool stands behind their product. As of now I would not recommend their product.

Terrible, bad, expensive

Owned this fridge for years. At the time it was one of the only options with water in the door in this size. Its terrible. Was on this page looking for parts and saw the review opportunity. One of the most annoying things about this fridge is that the door alarm is inaudible. For a long time we didn't even think it had one but its there. Its just so quiet you never hear it. Its way too easy for the door to get left open on this thing because someone overstuffed it and then with this door alarm you don't know. We now have a weird issue where the hinges are sticky and the door doesn't want to close. Plus there is a gap at the bottom of the freezer even when the thing is fully closed. Ice maker hopper button to remove ice in bulk broke long time ago.

Nice fridge, but noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this fridge to replace an old built-in. Overall I'm very happy with it, but the water and ice dispensers are very loud. Haven't tried out the measured dispense feature just yet. The inside space is nice and has a lot of great storage room compared to our previous fridge, and I like the included baking dish & tray that slide beneath one of the shelves. So far it has kept food cold and frozen as needed. Is it worth the hefty price tag? Time will tell!
