Newer not always better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old kitchenaid built-in died, so we got the new version. While it’s pretty, I prefer the white, bright interior of the old one. Also prefer the temp and other controls being on the inside, not the door. I would have liked the black stainless, but the built-in didn’t come in that option. Finally, the old one had individual controls for each produce/deli drawer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had to be replaced

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Refrigerator never worked after the 2nd day. Tried to repair 2 times and finally after 3 weeks replaced the refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love it but it's noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this 48" wide fridge because the fridge it was replacing was this large. We love the layout and the quality of the fridge and freezer. But the motor is always running and it's quite noisy BUT the worse part is that after the ice is dropped into the tray on the door there is quite a loud noise, assuming it's refilling the ice tray.

Fridge temperature incorrect

Fridge temperature set to max 43 Fahrenheit but the vegetables compartment temperature never climbs above 32 degree which causes the vegetables to freeze every time. Suspect the cooling element is too close to that compartment and no proper isolation was designed. Very disappointed.

Good replacement in existing space

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the refrigerator about 1.5 months. First time with ice/water in the door, & have been pleased.
Only issues have been that I can't keep bananas in the fruit drawer because they turn black very quickly, and we get a whistling noise occasionally that lasts about 20 minutes. A website search had no solutions for adjusting the fruit drawer temperature, and says the noise is from the condenser making adjustments?
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fridge does not work and horrible customer service

I bought this refrigerator based on the brand and having owned multiple Kitchen Aid products before. Unfortunately this product has been horrible and has convinced me to never purchase with Kitchen Aid again.
The refrigerator came dead on arrival. Was not cooling at all from day 1. Called in customer support and they sent a technician. He was lost as to why this could've happened and said he needed to order some parts to fix it and that it would probably only take a week. Its now been more than a month, still don't have a functioning refrigerator. I have to constantly call multiple times every week to get an update cause no one at Kitchen Aid ever gives an update. Every time I get a new story as to why I don't have the parts yet and why the technician cant come back to fix it. This has to be the worst customer experience I have ever had. Horrible warranty service. This isn't even for an old product, they cant even seem to be able to fix their own brand new refrigerator. The customer service has been so bad that on one of my follow up calls they informed me they had gotten the parts, booked a service appointment with me for which I took a day off. Where no one showed up and they told me they made a mistake booking that appointment and that in fact the parts were still not in. So not only has this impacted me not having a functioning refrigerator in my house for more than a month it has also impacted my work and personal life now.
Anyone thinking of buying anything from Kitchen Aid, heed my warning and stay away. There warranty service is non existent and the quality of their products is no longer what is use to be. At this point I dont even know what to do.

Fridge not working

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this fridge installed 5 weeks ago and it has never worked and has never cooled. I cant tell you if I like any features bc its not working. I have had 3 technicians out and the last one has been working on it for 3 weeks calling the tech line and still cant get it to cool. Customer service is terrible as they keep saying I cant have a replacement until it is deemed unrepairable but no timeline given as to what that means or how many tech calls before they assume that. I had to buy a mini fridge that is sitting in my dining room to get through this helll.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
