Top Notch flagship Phone

The phone is stellar! Went from 21 Ultra to Fold 4 to lock in trade in value and have been pleasantly surprised by how much I like the phone. There are some shortcomings but they are all surpassed by the phones performance and unique attribute aka The Fold!
I figure I will enjoy this until the s23 drops and I can make a decision from there.
Soon Apple will reveal they're working on foldable iPads and iphones and there will be real competition but until then Samsung reigns supreme.
Camera is a downgrade which is the only reason I will consider the s23 with rumored 200mp camera!
The crease is not noticable 90% and the other 10 is not a bother but rather a comfortable, book-like feel.
Seriously consider the phone; the front screen is ample enough to work as a standalone and the plethora of settings enable the user to optimize the phone to your usage patterns like how you can choose which apps transfer from inner screen to outter screen when you shut the phone.
Still discovering how battery life shapes up but it charges fast and that hasn't been a concern of mine in modern times.
If you're upgrading give this phone serious consideration.
Men, it is slightly* bulky in the pocket but not a big deal; I usually have it in workbag and have my Galaxy watch which is a good accessory to have...
Women, easily fits in any handbag so hopefully a moot point but same as above^ regarding pocket size*

but def sizeable if you didn't have a larger phone prior and slightly heavier but you known when it's in your pocket!
Get it or don't, non pressure;) but definitely a tremendous upgrade. I was considering the s22 and a tablet but this device gave me both! [Minus the camera :( ]
I am a realist and recognize some shortcomings are simply engineering hurdles like fingerprint scanner is the lock button bc of limited space and same with cameras*

Software Is A Little Too Detached; Overall Great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the phone for a little over three months. In short, the experience it a little too broken with apps often needing restarts to function properly for the aspect ratio you're currently in. Because of the excellent RAM management, apps opened a few days prior, if opened again but in a different state like an unfolded one, won't correctly size the elements of the app for the way it's currently being used. For instance, Instagram and YouTube will often maintain their UI from the "normal" folded aspect ratio and will often stretch it's elements to fit into the unfolded, wider aspect ratio. This make it feel just like an unsupported/unoptimized app. An overall minor grievance as it's fixed by closing the app and reopening in the state you want your phone to be used, but it is annoying to deal with on a near daily basis. It does occur with a lot of apps used daily, though Twitter, for example, seems to have no issues. Unsure how much of this will be fixed with future software updates from these companies and/or Samsung.
Outside of this, the experience is great! Outside of the frankly outdated concerns over durability, a glass screen protector is all that's needed! A lot of dust and lint among other things will enter the interior screen, likely due to the everpresent gap when the phone is shut closed. Hopefully this can be fixed in the future as the fear of closing the phone with a crumb or something of similar size that's made its way in, can cause the interior screen to break, is always present. Battery life is good! As well as performance. I keep my phone in light performance mode and can't tell a difference between the standard, but can tell with battery life improvements. Durability is good as it was dropped by a careless friend and handled it better than most phones. No cracks and only minor damage to the aluminum frame despite the increased weight. The image produced by the screens are very bright and provides a satisfying image. HDR in Prime Video is finally noticeable and the interior screen has become my primary video watching screen because of its quality. It makes my TV dark and boring by comparison. I believe the durability concerns of the Fold 1 and 2 are long behind us, and I'm excited to see how the overall experience will change in these coming months, especially with Android 13 around the corner.
