Good cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the grids that are all on the same level, that enables you to move a pan from one burner to the other without lifting the pan. It was difficult to install due to the thumbscrew clamps. It is hard to install the clamps after you set the stovetop into the opening. They need to be redesigned.

Very poor quality porcelain finish

After only 1.5 years of use I have multiple places of chipped and scratched porcelain. The first areas started showing within months of use and today I discovered more. It looks horrible. After much research before deciding to purchase this Gallery cooktop, thinking I had made the right choice, I cant express how greatly displeased and regretting my decision to include this cooktop in my brand new house. Because of the poor quality finish, the good points are overshadowed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

All I Expected

We have had this cook top a month and it is everything I wanted in gas cooking. Controls are easy to use and clean up is quick and simple.

Great use of available space

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago. It fit perfectly in the opening where my previous cook top was and installation only took about 20 minutes done by the store I purchased it from.
I bought this cook top fora variety of reasons: The high powered burner, the simmer burner and the layout. My previous cook top had the controls on the side which wasted a lot of space. This cook top with the controls in the front is a much more efficient use of space which allows five burners instead of four.
Although I have not yet used the highest powered burner, I am qite p[leased with the 12k burner and the simmer burner. the 12k burner definitely keeps the skillet at the proper high cooking temperature after food is added to the skillet, which is great for cooking foods that require it. I also used the simmer burner which worked very well. I am still adjusting to cooking other foods on the burners that are generally higher powered than my previous appliance, but I have no doubt it will work out. Controlling to strength of the flame also works well and the controls are quite sensitive. I am very happy with this appliance.
