I purchased this washer/dryer combo for the small space I had for a laundry. I was able to create a small broom closet with the space I saved. The washer and dryer is preforming wonderfully. The washer uses very little soap and water it spins the laundry very dry. Really a great looking product.

The family has used this unit a few times throughout the past few weeks and we love it so far. The spin wash cycles are quick and the dryer gets the job done with the specified settings. Coming from another brand, the LG washer/dryer combo is much more efficient at getting the job done in a smaller form factor.
The only reason for giving the combo unit a 4/5 star rating is the WiFi setup and app are a little clunky to use for multiple users, and it would be nice to have more customization for phone push notifications. The WiFi options are also a bit limited, but most of the time someone is at home anyway to check up on the unit.
Another ding for the score is the dryer gasket tends to attract a lot of lint, so after every use, the lint collection net, the gasket, and the floor of the unit needs to be cleaned up a bit before putting the next load in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After reading all the reviews I had high hopes that this washer/dryer would do an adequate job but it seems like that isn't the case. As others mentioned the controls take a bit to get used to but after using it for a couple of weeks my view is that it's not too flexible when it comes to customizing the wash/dry cycles. I'm hoping that it's just me not knowing how to use it but I don't think that's the case. For my washes and drying I usually don't use the default settings since it's either not at the temperature I need or the length of time I need the cycle to last. With my old washers I can easily change the settings manually but with this unit I have to go through a somewhat extended process to achieve what I want. There really should be a way to save my choices as a custom setting so that I don't have to do it every time but it seems like there isn't. Another thing that's disappointing is that I don't think it's washing the clothes clean. I even used they heavy soil setting but it didn't help. My kid is in basketball and lately the clothes have been soaked with sweat. I used to not wash it right away and as you can imagine the smell of the clothes was awful. I had to presoak the clothes to get rid of the smell. This time I decided to wash it right away. Knowing that the sweat drenched the clothes I added Lysol pretreatment to the wash and set the soil level to heavy. When the wash was completed (to over two hours) I started emptying the clothes into the dryer but noticed that there was still some lingering scent is sweat. This leads me to think that the unit isn't doing a good job with the wash. As for the drying, similar to the wash there's not custom setting to save my choices. What's even worst is that I can't seem to find a way to manually set the unit to dry my clothes for longer than 60 minutes. If I known how restricting this set was I might have not purchased it. I'm hoping that LG can update their software to this unit so that it'll allow more customization. I doubt it but I can hope, right?

We bought it 2 months ago, and she loves all the features, the quiet, the low-water use and minimal detergent use, and how fluffy the dryer makes the clothes. Only issue: 2 weeks ago it started leaking some water on the floor every wash cycle. We haven't figured out how to fix that yet . . .
