My 1st LG product ever, and so far I have been pleased in its initial 4 weeks of operation. This LG Tower replaced a 28 year old stackable W/D which finally stopped working. I was apprehensive about switching to a front loading washer, but so far it works well, allows a greater capacity of laundry, and seems more energy efficient. The dryer does its job quite well. The unit appears well built. Now here's to hoping it will be durable.

It is all one unit; it has a smaller profile than regular stacking units yet actual washer and dryer drums are standard/large size. Furthermore the controls are backlit and there are lights in the drums. Also you cannot choose the water level; the unit/computer weighs the load taking out the guess work and specifies to use just one soap pod. So nice I just load and go.

I was wary, because I've heard the older unit were bullet proof and the new units are kind of disposable. I had this installed about 2 months ago and it's been great! So amazingly quiet! It cleans way better and uses considerably less detergent and energy than my old one! Not to mention the incredibly annoying buzz has been replaced by a calming song..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this LG washer/dryer after living 4 years with a very noisy washing machine. This machine is very quiet, including a pleasant, short tune that plays to indicate the washing or drying cycle has ended.
The capacity is remarkable. Minimal soap is needed to clean a load. The dryer is efficient and effective in drying clothes to the desired degree.
I was confused initially as there is no means to manually end a cycle. I am accustomed to being able to turn off a dryer when a load has been sufficiently dried. I discovered the machine will automatically cycle off in the "Pause" mode after several minutes.
Being of short stature, I especially appreciate having the controls for both washer and dryer situated in the middle, between the two stacked machines. Overall, we are very happy.

We’re on our second unit in one month. Dryer didn’t work and couldn’t find anyone to service unit w/o removing it. They are very loud! Love the idea but don’t think I’d buy this brand again.

Great example on modern tech ease removing key fea

We have had this set for a few months now. Key features are missing and no matter the settings even with steam things are coming out of the dryer crunchy and wrinkly. No whites cycle on washer. No ability to set water temp to cold and have it stay that way as a default for your wash. No air fluff on the dryer. In fact, their dry sensors are so"advanced" that the dryer just shuts off when you try to put something in to fluff it. No time dry settings.
