The cafe is stylish and attractive with its' backlit interior. The one drawback is the shelving on the left. The shelves are too small and the top one is much too high to put anything in without hitting the top when closing the door, so basically, it's useless. The icemaker is a bit slow but it works. The freezer has an ample amount of space to store frozen items.

Looks great, too bad the freezer door doesn't work

We love the look of this Fridge - the color matches our Gase Range perfectly. We also like the inside space and multiple drawers and storage spots. The bad news is the freezer gasket falls off every time you open the door. The repairman said that the entire freezer door has to be replaced due to the gasket "connection" was too large, most likely damaged from the factory. Not good - the freezer is constantly frosting up since the door cannot close. Definitely a loser. We hop the new door will fix the issue, but we were told it could be over a month before the part comes in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best Refrigerator I’ve ever had!

This is a wonderful refrigerator. It’s divided into 3 separate zones, typical refrigerator, a chilling drawer and a bottom freezer. It also has a water and ice dispenser built into the door. Its design is very flexible and makes it easy to store item the way you’d like. Perhaps the best feature is the refrigerator light. The whole back wall of the refrigerator is lit, making it easy to see what’s in the freezer. It’s a pleasure to use.

For a counter depth refrigerator I can't believe how much this can hold! It reminds me of my old sub zero. Love the extra drawer that can be changed from refrigerator to freezer temp.

Broke in less then 2 years

I would not recommend this frig. In less then 2 years my computer broke along with the convertible drawer.

Completely Dependable and Well Designed

This is my third Cafe refrigerator in the last 15 years in three different houses and I’d never buy anything else. Have never had a problem or made a service call. Personally, I don't want all the trendy features that some other manufacturers offer since it’s just something else to have break. The GE refrigerators do what you buy a refrigerator for; they work and don’t break down.
The LED backlighting on this model is great and a big improvement over the last version. The mat black looks great and no fingerprint cleaning.
