Disappointing

The ice machine is horrible, our ice just flies out everywhere all over our hardwood floor, so disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Follow the below tips for using your ice dispenser:
- Do not add ice from trays or bags to the ice bucket, especially on models with ice in the door (Spacesaver Ice). It may not crush or dispense

- Avoid overfilling glass with ice, and avoid using narrow glasses. Both of these can cause ice to fall into the chute and not be dispensed. Backed-up ice can jam the chute or cause the door in the chute to freeze shut. If ice is blocking the chute, remove the ice bucket and poke it through with a wooden spoon.
- Beverages and foods should not be quick-chilled in the door ice maker bin. Cans, bottles or food packages in the storage drawer may cause the ice maker or auger to jam.
- To keep dispensed ice from missing the glass, put the glass close to, but not touching, the dispenser opening.

it only cools 8 oz of water at a time and then you have to wait another 1 hour to get more cold water. the ice maker is also limited in the amount of u e it can make

FREEZES

Freezes since DAY 1. GE refuses to replace unit after several months of the problem and service calls.

Best design ever!

Clearly this refrigerator was designed by a persons (women) who understand what is needed in a refrigerator. I think the design is absolutely brilliant. Extremely functional with a variety of usable options, excellent delineation of space, accessible trays, shelves and bins. The best and most functional refrigerator ever. Kudos.
