Solid Fridge

Love the look and function of the unit. Plenty of space in the fridge and the middle chiller drawer. The freezer having multiple storage shelves and the hidden shelf on the actual door part is fantastic and makes it more practical that a normal french door fridge/freezer

Nice looking, bad product

This refrigerator was purchased right at 2 years ago. I picked up the first one from store, installed it, plugged it in, and nothing happened. East Coast appliance was very good about having another one delivered in 2 days.
The first 2 years it been a great refrigerator. Family and friends comment on how nice the fridge is, but looks only go so far.
2 weeks ago the ice maker stopped. After doing some research this seems like a common issue with GE refridgerators. Then I noticed things in the freezer didn't seem as frozen. 2 days ago the frozen water bottle had water moving in it. So now a repair tech will be out in 3 days to find and hopefully fix the issues.
Here is my conclusion of this very nice looking refrigerator. Just because of the high price tag, doesn't mean it's a high quality product. If you really really want this refrigerator l, get the extended warranty. But knowing my luck the refrigerator will break down as soon as the warranty is over. The refrigerator is not worth the price in my opinion.

Beautiful but features need some improvement

This fridge is beautiful but a few of the features leave something to be desired. I like that the back wall lights up so you can see everything inside. The really large door shelves are sturdy and create a lot of extra space! The storage drawer handles are on the bottom of the drawers, not the top as most fridges, so I grab the wrong area every time. The ice maker doesn't make ice very quickly so we run out easily...I think I read it makes 6 cubes an hour. Way too slow! Also, the water filler is so slow I don't bother to use it and use my reverse osmosis faucet instead. The auto fill feature works sporadically. The soft freeze option in the top drawer doesn't soft freeze...ice cream is like a thick soup, not like ice cream. So we keep bread and buns in there instead to keep them fresh and not frost bitten. It works well for that. It also doesn't chill wine quickly...better off using the freezer if you want to chill in 3 hours or less. The freezer works great and the may drawers offer lots of storage options, however, be aware that also limits any large items so be sure you have another freezer so that you can backstock larger things.

Solid and Elegant Fridge

Still too soon to provide any comprehensive feedback but so far so good. Like the clean look and basic set of features, that are not too overwhelming or complex.
Minor improvement - Would like some customizations on interior light adjustment, autofill feature to work when a container already has water/is not empty to begin with, soft auto-close doors etc...

Lacks storage space

This refrigerator from the outside looks large but when you start to fill the inside with your products there is no room to store anything. This unit is a big disappointment from my last same size cubic foot Amana refrigerator. The doors hardly hold anything and the shelf’s are adjustable but not to be fooled once you put a gallon of milk and juice inside its game over. Disappointed with the Cafe’ refrigerator.

Save yourself headaches and buy a different one!

Initially, I really loved the refrigerator. The glass doors are such a great idea, hide fingerprints nicely, and are so easy to clean. Love the back-lit interior, snack/wine drawer, and automatic water filling option. However, considering that high price tag of almost 5k, I would have never expected us to have so many issues with this fridge. It started with occasional water puddles on the floor, most often after exchanging the filter, then water accumulating under the vegetable drawers in the fridge, and now the ice machine not working at all. we've troubleshot anything we could think of but to no avail. Our previous Whirlpool and much cheaper French door refrigerator still runs strong in our garage after 12 years without any leaks and a working ice maker. As much as I want to love this fridge, it has given me more headaches and produced more cleanups than any other appliance I've ever owned, thus I can only advise to NOT buy this refrigerator.
