Broke in less then 2 years

I would not recommend this frig. In less then 2 years my computer broke along with the convertible drawer.

Completely Dependable and Well Designed

This is my third Cafe refrigerator in the last 15 years in three different houses and I’d never buy anything else. Have never had a problem or made a service call. Personally, I don't want all the trendy features that some other manufacturers offer since it’s just something else to have break. The GE refrigerators do what you buy a refrigerator for; they work and don’t break down.
The LED backlighting on this model is great and a big improvement over the last version. The mat black looks great and no fingerprint cleaning.

The matted black color is beautiful. The extra section for temperature selection is great. The freezer section has several drawers to keep food organuzed.

Aesthetic is nice and that’s about it

Aesthetic is nice and that’s about it. We’ve had nothing but problems since the day of install. We have received now 4 replacement doors all of which were not functional. Freezer had a malfunctioning grommet which has yet to be replaced after 1 year. Beyond the poor quality it at times sound like it’s a 20 year fridge knocking and hissing. We have a 10 year old fridge from a different brand that way out performs this fridge. We are very disappointed because we love the way this fridge looked with our new kitchen but ultimately we purchased a different fridge.

Door closing is horrible design

The door is sdo frustrating. it resists closing when you lightly try to shut it so it remains open often and the alarm goes off. Its actually very frustrating and awful design.

Love the color and space of this fridge. I wish it didn’t come standard with stainless steel handles because I went with a different color and now have brand new handles sitting in my basement.
