No handles bad design choice

I’ve had this fridge over a week. Functions OK so far but the draws without handles are very hard to open. And the black in between the draws looks like cheap plastic (which it is). If you want a French door fridge with draws I would go for one that has handles.

When you open the drawers on your refrigerator, warm air rushes inside. When you close the drawer, all the warm air rushes to the evaporator, which in turn creates a vacuum. If you close one of the doors but then need to open one again right away, the vacuum makes the doors hard to open for about 10 to 15 seconds after closing. Once the air equalizes, the drawer will open as normal again.
To make it easier, you can try rubbing paraffin wax or petroleum jelly along the edges of the entire gasket. Paraffin wax is used for canning and is safe for use around food. Please do not use candle wax as it may contain chemicals that are not safe for use around food.

Not True Counter-depth. Otherwise nice features.

The CAFE platinum glass counter depth-fridge has nice features, but is not really counter-depth due to the fact that the door swing will hit the counter or cabinet side panels unless the fridge is pulled out by approximately 4" beyond the counter and side panels. The picture in the ad shows this model protruding only about an inch from tight side panels. This is not possible as the doors won't open. This is quite disappointing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice features but interior door shelves break

Overall a nice fridge, especially the water dispenser, but we’ve already had to replace 2 of the shelves on the door, both under normal use. One broke within a 3 months and the other after 6. Neither covered by warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed

Refrigerator is great but the delivery and installation process was terrible. Green plastic was left on the door and under the door nearly impossible to remove all of it we called to have someone come back out and remove it and they used a box cutter and scratched up the doors. We have not been able to rectify the situation since.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cafe Refriderator

The freezer is too small on this style. I would love to know how to remove all of the plastic they are wrapped in as I still have blue plastic all over the edges.

We are more than happy to help with some tips to get the plastic film off. It can be tricky sometimes. The best method is an application of a household liquid dishwashing detergent, you can apply with a soft cloth and allow to soak.

Great looking, terrible ice/water dispenser

We chose this fridge to match the rest of our appliance suite. I regret choosing the one with a water and ice dispenser. Just two weeks in, and it has a slow drip of water all day. The ice dispenser is the loudest one I've ever had - it's painful! I expected more from a fridge of this price.
I do like the freezer organization, and the deli drawer is great.

The ice machine is horrible, our ice just flies out everywhere all over our hardwood floor, so disappointing.

Follow the below tips for using your ice dispenser:
- Do not add ice from trays or bags to the ice bucket, especially on models with ice in the door (Spacesaver Ice). It may not crush or dispense

- Avoid overfilling glass with ice, and avoid using narrow glasses. Both of these can cause ice to fall into the chute and not be dispensed. Backed-up ice can jam the chute or cause the door in the chute to freeze shut. If ice is blocking the chute, remove the ice bucket and poke it through with a wooden spoon.
- Beverages and foods should not be quick-chilled in the door ice maker bin. Cans, bottles or food packages in the storage drawer may cause the ice maker or auger to jam.
- To keep dispensed ice from missing the glass, put the glass close to, but not touching, the dispenser opening.

it only cools 8 oz of water at a time and then you have to wait another 1 hour to get more cold water. the ice maker is also limited in the amount of u e it can make
