The gas burner makes thexKaru 16 a truly versatile device. It heats the oven more quickly than wood. Just keep the ceiling vent closed and you will be at CCT 950 degrees in 15-20 minutes. A needed accessory.

Same issue everyone else is having. Burner continually flames out, apparently a cheap thermalcouple issue, but for the price, I'd expect this to always work out of the box

Gas burner Karu16 not up to the task

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The gas burner is the only thing that disappoints me with the Ooni experience. Used to Weber gasburner it normally just take one press on the button to study the fire. But with Ooni you need 10-25 times to light the fire. Send I am not the only one with this experience.

Gas shuts off at 750*.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gas shuts off at 750*. Been going back and forth with support for over a month. Still not resolved. They asked for a video but all this will show is that the gas goes on until it reaches 750* and shuts off..

Propane Burner Is Good Enough For Baking Pizzas

Only used it to burn in my Karu 16. It was slightly windy, 10-15 MPH. Stayed lit. Been cooking pizza with wood (cherry). Even with the gas burner running wide open for an hour, the baking stone runs 300 degrees below the built in temp monitor (it is summer here and the highs are 85-100F). Been cooking my pizza at around 450, just takes a little longer. I'm ok with that. The only thing I have ever been able to do with a pizza at 900 degrees is set it on fire (Big Green Egg).
