Good but not perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installing and setting up the gas burner was very easy. After about an hour on full blast, the oven temperature reached slightly over 400 degrees C. This is less than what i hoped for and less than ideal for a Napoletan pizza. On the positive side, it is less hassle and a more stable temperature than when firing with wood.

Frozen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gas burner dial was frozen and would not turn on earlier. I was told by you to not place the Ooni pizza cover over the gas burner knob. Is that not correct now? Please advise. It’s very disappointing I cannot use my gas burner / ooni pizza oven in the winter as a result.

Needs improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The burner is very easy to install and operate and makes it very easy to maintain a constant oven temperature. However, the flame keeps turning off on its own for no reason which is very annoying. I cannot walk away from the oven because I’m afraid I will come back to no flame and a cold oven. I’ve read other people having the same issue.

Been using wood and charcoal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been using wood and charcoal for a couple of years - but in the winter the oven never gets hot enough. The burner installed easily and worked great to get a nice hot oven that made amazing pizzas. Have to use it more and learn to regulate the temp up and down - but really loved the burner and the output

Ooni GAS BURNER

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once the burner gets lit it performs ver well; oven temperature comes up quickly and is easily to control. The problem is getting the burner lit and staying lit for the first 30 seconds or so. The burner NEVER lights by way of the sparker I always need to use a lighter or propane torch to light the burner. Also for the first 30 seconds or so of being lit you have to pay very close attention to the burner as it frequently goes out. ; you need to keep raising and lowering the gas volume to keep the flames lit. After the first 30 seconds or so the burner performs flawlessly. I guess I had expected more from Ooni.
