[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] And all honesty it’s been too cold where I live to use my new one my old one well, I had a problem with it, staying with worked wonderfully when it operated correctly. I’m assuming and hoping that the replacement you sent will not have the same problem as the old one, in which case I would give it an automatic five, but because of the temperatures around here and my inability to really use it yet, I didn’t think I could honestly give it a five but later on when I have the chance to actually put it into motion, I’m sure it’ll be a five.

Must have for making lots

Two failed units, each after fewer than 5 uses

Every Ooni product I have has been outstanding--except this burner. The first one failed after the 4th use. Customer service was very helpful and after some back and forth, a replacement was sent. However, the replacement has failed after the 3rd use. Both failed in the same way--the igniter fails. The gas delivery remains functional so I light the burner with a barbecue lighter. Closer look at the units suggests that the spark from the igniter is grounding out at the interface between the wire from the knob and its transition into the ceramic body of the igniter. The spark grounds out at that area so it fails to get to its final destination at the very tip near the gas outlet. Now that I have experienced two failed units, I have very little confidence in this design, particularly its igniter.
