Didn’t work

Won't stay lit

The gas burner worked great the first time I used it. The next time I tried using it the burner went out every couple of minutes. It took over an hour to cook 4 pizzas. I decided to try again on another day and it continued to go out every couple of minutes and then wouldn't start again.

A Must Have

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although the flavor of the pizza is better using wood burning, sometimes you just want to turn on the gas to make it quick. The Gas Burner for Ooni Karu 16 is perfect for this. It's so easy to use and makes cleanup super easy. Well work the price as an add-on.

The burner has issues but

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The burner has issues but I have discovered a workaround for those problems. The first use is fine but after that, the heat from the unit causes the gas burner control knob to fail and fall off. From that point on, if you light the burner, the knob, which is being held on, will not go inward far enough for the burner to stay lite. My solution, after a warranty replacement of the burner and the exact problem reoccurring, was to displace the control knob OUT by about a quarter inch with the use of double stick foam 3m tape. Then, the knob would push far enough in that the burner would stay lite and work. Since I discovered this, I have used it 5 times with no issues. The burner stays lite and doesn;t flame out like it did before. This is a design flaw but the work-around allows it to work fine. The design engineers should have found this in testing.

Easy to use but not what i hoped

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works so it is easy but doesnt get the deck hot enough. It also takes 30 minutes to get oven warm enough. I live in a very hot state, so that isnt the issue. Also, each of the 4 times I have used it so far, the gas went out amd I had to restart it during cooking.

Unreliable Gas Burner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 2nd burner I have received from Oonie and both of them periodically lose flame. This has nothing to do with airflow in the oven as I have the chimney vent wide open. Seems like a poor quality thermocouple.
