Nice for my small lawn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a fan of this company for a couple of seasons. I have a several of their small yard machines. I guess one thing one needs to learn when transitioning from gas powered machines to electric is that no matter the marketing, they're not the same. They're definitely not as robust, nor or they as powerful. They make a lot of sense for me with a city lot, and no desire to tinker with small engines. When the electric machine is charged or plugged in it goes. I don't have to make sure I have gas and I don't have to change the oil.
All that said, this is a very nice electric mower. It feels very solid. The mower deck is metal. When you press the safety switch and pull the handle you feel a nice little bit of torque. It rolls smoothly and can be maneuvered easily around edges and corners. It feels very long, a bit more stretched out than my current gas mower. I had to raise the mower deck up about halfway (six degrees of height!) as I have a very bumpy lawn. It cuts very well straight out of the box. The blade is very sharp.
One thing I know I'm going to be very careful with is rocks and sticks. The blade is not as thick as a 'normal' gas mower's blade, and the nut and attachment mechanism is plastic. I definitely will be inspecting for bends in the blade or cracks in the plastic often. I'm hoping it's something that can be easily sourced and replaced. I did notice while mowing over some leftover leaves from fall that the mower mulches much better than my gasoline mower. It could just be that the blade is sharper overall, but I honestly think the thinness of the blade has something to do with it as well. I didn't mess with the grass collection bag as that's really not my style. I'm a mulch person. I did attach and remove it and found it to be quite easy and intuitive.
I was able to pull this mower out of the box and have it up and running with no tools in about five minutes. I've charged the batteries through one full cycle, but I didn't really pay attention to how long they took to charge. I enjoy the fact that the batteries themselves have a charge indicator and test button on them.
Now I guess I should start planning on purchasing a snow blower that takes the same battery setup for the winter.

Better for the environment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this product for a few weeks now & I enjoy it very much! Not only is it better for the environment it's also easier to use as well. With this product being used with batteries since they're Ah batteries this mower only provides 25 minutes of usage, it's best to use the mower for small areas of lawn cutting nothing larger than an acre. With the dual port charger you can charge up to 2 batteries at once in just 2 hours. The mower does come with a 13.2 gallon grass bag for collection of clippings. The durable steel blade mows a path 20-inches wide in a single pass, for an even cut every time. Customize cutting height with the 7-position height-adjustment level — from 1.2 in. to 3.5 in. for the perfect, precise cut tailored to your lawn. I recommend this product to all of my friends & family also I cannot wait to purchase more products from this company!

An electric mower, unplugged!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been having a blast getting to know this mower over the past few weeks. All my life mowing has been a drag of a chore. Pull the string a thousand times. Fill the gas tank and spill a little on your shoe. Go over long grass and make the mower cough and sputter. Push and pull this heavy machine back and forth. Go deaf after ten minutes.
What a breath of fresh air (literally) this new mower is. It's light as a feather and SO quiet. I can barely hear it going outside when I'm inside the house. It's very easy to adjust the height of the blade; literally just one lever and the whole assembly moves up and down. Comes with the collection bag, which is also easy to pop on or off if you'd rather mulch or blow.
So, batteries? How are they? It runs on two large rechargeable batteries, so if if you have a cordless tool set, you're familiar with the type I mean. Also comes with the charger for those batteries. Of course, your mileage may vary depending on the size of your lawn, but I can do my whole lawn one and a half times before I need to recharge the batteries. So I just have been popping them out and recharging after every mow.

Quick work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing was ready to go in minutes and made quick work of the yard. Didn’t have any issues getting it together and running. The previous mower was having deck issues and causing irregular cuts and missed places but this one did the job in about an hour and it looks great. It probably would have cost me more to fix or replace the deck on the other one rather than just replace with this and it was definitely less of a hassle. I like having a collection bag because I’m not worried about blowing grass on the vehicles or dangerously out into the road where many bikers come through this time of year, and it looks a lot nicer without all of the clippings everywhere and being tracked into the house and car. My son is getting to the age that he wants to help more and can have some responsibility so I let him operate it for a little bit and he had no trouble at all getting it finished up. There are multiple positions and we like to keep it low in case we don’t have much time to go back over it for a couple of weeks and it won’t be grown up too much. The charging station sits right in my shed and gives it enough power for us to do the job without having to break in between. The deck is wide enough that it doesn’t feel like it takes forever to cover the whole area and get the rest of your day back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm definitely a proud owner of this lawn mower, first and foremost I love the overall design and look of this mower and it cuts grass amazingly!, It even features a manual height adjustment knob that makes cutting grass to your preferred height even easier. This mower runs on 2 batteries which are included, that charge in under 2 hours and runtime of this mower is up to over 25 minutes, which is plenty enough time to get alot of grass mowed in that time frame. I found this mower to be easy to push and I even love that it comes included with an attachable bag to collect grass, which not only makes grass cutting conveinent, but keeps your lawn looking crisp and clean. Overall, I've had great results since using this product, it's simple to use, gets the job done effectively, and I would definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my new battery operated mower. It is so easy to start and cuts evenly. I will admit I was a little concerned about the battery life when I first obtained it however it was very easy to push mow and I found I could quickly get the job done and had full power the entire time. The mower trimmed even was lightweight and then an excellent job. I felt good that it was also very good for the environment that I was not using a gas powered engine and the ease in starting the mower was excellent for me. This Moore made the whole mowing process easier and much more fun than normal I’m actually very excited to use it again! I have my eye on a snowblower soon

Great cut

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with this push mower. I have over an acre and a half and have a big long ditch line to mow and some of a hill I can’t get my riding mower on. This mower is much more light and helps me tremendously on the hills. And hard to get spots. I love that it doesn’t use gas I just keep the batteries charged after each use. I’m able to cover my area with a full battery. It also has the catcher on it which I love that too. It’s easy to empty. The mower it’s self was easy to put together. It has a nice wide cute. And the mower itself isn’t that loud. It’s easy for me to start and I can adjust it easy. Which has a 7 position adjust. It’s so convenient and perfect. The batteries are easy to insert. And covered when using. They don’t take to long to charge. I would like to have an extra set on hand. Uses both to give it 48 volt. The cut is very nice. I get around the trees with it and side walk. And it goes every where I need it to. It’s made very well and it looks very good. I also love that it has vertical storage capabilities. I can now keep it in my shed. That is full, that’s something I could never do with my other one. It looks sleek. I really like the look of it. I. Like the colors too. The catcher does a good job with catching the clippings. Sometimes I even go over thick spots just picking up clippings left from the riding mower. It holds a good size and I’m not constantly emptying. The run time is about 20 minute. And it take close to two hours to charge. I’m able to get the whole ditch line and the hills and still have a little bit of charge left. It maneuvers great. It is easy to push. It’s made very nice and built well. Nice craftsmanship on it. One last thing is there’s no pull start! I hated those cause I’m never able to start them! This starts without effort. Last is the battery charger tells you when they are charged even both sides have the meter.

Great lawnmower!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got to use the Sun Joe a few times before the snow came, and it worked great. I like that the iON+ lithium-ion battery system, exclusive to Sun Joe, has zero carbon emissions for cleaner air. The dual-port charger is so quick, powering up two batteries at once and in just under two hours. The blade mows a wide path 20-inches wide in a single pass. I like that you can customize the cutting height in seven height positions. I appreciate that it comes with a 13.2-gallon grass bag to collect clippings and prevent thick thatch build-up. And there's an indicator window to let you know when to empty it! The motor is so efficient. I am really a fan of the Sun Joe brand.
