Amazing Mower - Great Power - Fast Charging

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was needing a new lawn mower for my city lot, and I was seriously debating getting a gas mower, or start going green and grab an electric version. I'm completely and totally happy with my choice to go with the Sun Joe 24v x2 (48V) Mower system.
This thing is pretty amazing considering it's running on (2) 24v batteries that you would use on your 24v hand tools. I was able to mow my front yard, back yard, as well as the area next to the house plus the neighbors front yard before my batteries started to flash. I think I still had enough voltage to finish the back yard of my neighbor's house if I didn't give out and get tired.
The mower is easy to setup, requires no gas, no oil, no fluids at all to leak out. The battery charger is a 2 port, so it will charge both batteries quickly and has pretty lights to let you know how close you are to mowing again.
The mower itself is like any other mower on the market, 6 positions height adjustment, bagger and open flow options. It's not very loud either, it's not whisper quiet, as you can hear the blades spin around and of course makes noise when chopping grass, but it's certainly not as loud as a gas motor. Would I go out at 5am to mow the lawn while the neighbors are sleeping hoping I don't wake them. I'm going to say no, because it still makes a humming type noise that can be heard. It's just not that loud annoying exhaust from a lawn mower / go cart noise you're used to hearing.
It seems to be well build, and I'm hoping it will last me awhile. I know Sun Joe has a great customer service and warrantee department so I have no fears that if something does happen I can contact them to get it replaced or repaired quickly.
If you're looking for a nice mower, that can replace your current gas model for an eco friendly version that doesn't need gas or oil. I would HIGHLY recommend this mower and this brand.

Good mower for a small yard.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One thing one needs to realize when switching from gas yard machines to electric is that it's a whole different platform. There's really no comparing them no matter what anyone tries to tell you. Electric machines in this range at least just aren't as robust as their gasoline competitors. This is OK. What they lack in hardiness, they make up for in other ways. I'm not one who enjoys tinkering with small engines at the start of every season trying to get my lawn mower/snow blower to run. The electric machines plug in or charge up and they're ready to roll. No checking oil or changing spark plugs. I don't have to keep a gas can full in my garage and wonder if I havve to run to the gas station before mowing. If my batteries are charged, I'm ready to roll.
This machine is longer feeling than my gas push mower. The mowing deck is metal and seems very comparable to any other mower I've used. The mower is fairly agile for it's size and is able to go around corners and up to edges nicely. I noticed that once you push in the safety button and engage the motor there's a nice 'torquey' feeling when the blades rotate. The mower cuts very well, and with six positions on the adjustor it should be good for just about any lawn. I have to raise the deck up at least three slots as my lawn is rather bumpy and uneven. I purposefully ran it over some leaves and sticks and found that it mulches very well. I'd attribute that to the sharpness and thinness of the blade. The blade isn't nearly as heavy as it's gas counterparts, so you're going to want to make sure you're not hitting any rocks. Also, the nut and mechanism that attaches the blade to the motor is plastic. I'm definitely going to be checking the blade and the attachment much more often than I would my gasoline mower. I'm hoping these items are easily available and replaceable by the user.
I'm a mulch mower. I don't like collecting grass clippings. I did try to attach the bagger and found it was very easy to put on and take off.
I cycled the batteries once. I didn't really pay much attention to how long it took them to charge. It wasn't very long. I really like how there is a test button and three LEDs on each battery to tell you the charge level. As someone with younger children, I'm also very happy there is a 'key' in the battery compartment that needs to be inserted before starting to mow. My eight year old figured it out in about two minutes, but at least there's still an extra step before the blades engage.
I was able to pull the mower from the box and assemble it with no tools in maybe a little more than five minutes. It was really easy and intuitive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for my honest review. I’ve never used an electric lawnmower til now. Best thing ever! Save on gas, don’t have to worry about running out of gas, and the lawnmower is so quiet. The batteries charge quick and last long.

Better for the Environment
on June 11, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is better for the environment than the traditional type of push mowers that use gasoline petrol fuel. It is easy to charge the batteries and to put it on the mower to get it going. It is good to go for my yard twice without needing to be recharged, I have just under an acre that I mow with it and use the weedwacker around my flowers and vegetable garden area. I like that it is much easier to push than a munual mower, as I did try one for the enviroment, but my son and wife were unable to even push it to cut the grass. So this is a great solution for the whole family.

High-quality and better for environment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Sun Joe Lawn Mower is powerful and useful hand tool. It is very well-made and looks sturdy, at the same time it is easy to push and maneuvering. Also it is pretty quiet.
It was very easy to assemble with no tools, and took about 5 minutes for me.
It comes with 2 rechargeable batteries. I can cut the front of fairly large yard and still have the charge remaining. Battery runtime is about 25 minutes. The battery charger has 2 ports, so it charges both batteries at the same time. Charging is fast. The mower comes with a 13.2 gallon grass bag for collection of clippings.
Cutting height can be customized with the 7-position height-adjustment level from 1.2 in. to 3.5 in.
This mower cuts great better and quietly than my previous gas mower, so I would definitely recommend this environmentally friendly mower for others.
