If you get how to use it correctly it does help when scraping things like hummus out of the bottom. It still doesn't get a lot at a time but it does get more than just a regular spatula.

I thought the scraper was made out of stainless steel. But it is plastic, I do not know if it is silicone but I hope so. It does help to scrape things out of the container but it will definitely wear out.

Works great and gets a lot of use. Do recommend heeding warnings; do not put in the blender while in operation. Just bought a 2nd one because I really wasn't thinking and used my scraper rather than the tamper. This scraper is super when used properly lol.

The Under Blade Scraper is a decent tool. While the shape is well designed to do the job, and it has some flexibility, so much of its small area is taken up by the firmness of the attached long handle that it loses some of the effectiveness of a really good silicone spatula.
