I bought this in October. Tempos have been all over the place. In the left side (hopper side). There's an air gap. Instead of the the part that they reflector sits in being a rounded shape, its flat. There's a 1 inch gap that they hot air escapes out of and hits the temp probe. Sad that its up to the consumers to jam aluminum foil on the gap when a little R&D could have solved the issue. My 820fb and my 700fb don't have the design flew this one does....

I am still learning, but so far really loving how easy it is to get it started, the large cooking surfaces, the shelves are amazing. Only downside is I'm not tall enough to reach the handle when it's open, so I keep a towel on hand to help lower the hood when it's hot.

This grill and smoker makes even the worst chefs look like professional Grill Masters. Easy to use. Once you’ve done a few different smokes, you get comfortable with the technique and how it’s supposed to be done.

I have an Austin XL and love it. This new Sportsman grill is basically the same with a few improvements. The sear plate slide, the front shelf and the jerkey rack are awesome. Great product! Good value!
