I'm 69 years old but still healthy & very active. I used my Skil PWR saw for the first time today to cut back my over grown Crepe Myter's & it was amazing. It cut through even the thicker trucks like it was slicing butter. I even cut some of my oak tree limbs like it was nothing. I love, love my Skil 20" brushless chain saw. Thank you
I couldn’t get to work at all after assembly taking it back
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Yesterday I started working on a small tree and I used my PWR Cor 20 saw for the first time. I was very happy to find that this saw zipped its way through 3-4" branches. I bought this saw for limning fallen trees and cutting smaller weed trees as I clear an area. I have confidence that I made the right choice. The 4.0 Ah battery was charged 3 months ago and it still had 4 bars on the indicator!
So far it seems to be okay, lightweight, easy to use; its one speed cuts but not fast. After cutting several small trees, the chain popped off suddenly, despite it being adjusted to the proper tension at the start. Couldn't ascertain what caused that. But putting the chain back in place was no great hassle.

I used this saw for the second time today. Initially everything okay, chain was at the right tension and free wheeling manually before attaching battery, battery was fully charged, ample chai oil was in the reservoir. The saw started fine and readily cut off a couple of branches, and I was happy until it abruptly stopped and would not start again. So, I tried the backup battery, but it still would not start, just made a single click and advanced the chain about 1 cm. So, I removed the cover thinking maybe something was jamming the gear, but no, just a bit of well-oiled sawdust and I cleaned it up like new. I tried again, but same thing, just a click when trying to start the saw. The electrical must be faulty, but with both batteries I ensured that the battery was fully slotted in, and the battery could not be removed without depressing the release on it. So, I think the wiring inside (inaccessible) must have no contact. Unfixable by the user, so there's not much to recommend about this brand new saw. Buyer beware!

So far I love this little chain saw, it is small enough and lite enough for me to handle to cot up fallen limbs. I also like the fact that Skil offers one battery for many different tools, I will be purchasing more in the future. I would absolutely recommend this product if your looking for something to do small jobs.
