Trash product. 1st drill the chuck wouldn't hold any bit without slipping so I exchanged for another drill. 2nd the trigger out of box is stuck and the lever for gear adjustment just floats in place.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Incredible Durability

Is what I'm going to write void the warranty? Well, I'm not sure. Technically, it is still a non-commercial use, so probably not. I wanted to wait to write this review until I had really worked this driver pretty hard. I've had this drill for about 18 months, and I have used it to auger 4" diameter pilot holes for my horse fence with an earth auger bit. 200+ holes. I have used it two winters now during ice fishing season to auger 8" fishing holes with my Eskimo Pistol Bit. Can't even tell you how many holes. 8 inch ice, 10, 14, 20, it does not matter. It annihilates De Walts at this job. It smacks down Milwaukee's. The battery runs longer, and I have even won bets on total holes drilled through 8 inch ice on a single 4.0 ah battery against my friends' competing drills. Obviously, it also drills through your normal everyday building materials, and does it very well. I can't believe I haven't killed this drill yet, because I was literally trying to do so. If you are concerned about this drill's performance, at this price point, and are being lulled into buying another brand because of a preconception... re-read the above. Plus I have other SKIL 20V system tools, and they all perform great and the fast charger, if you get one, is really FAST. Happy drilling.
