I bought it without much expectation, but it's surprisingly sharp and easy to cut.The battery capacity is pretty good, too.
Unfortunately, the cover is plastic.

So far this little saw gets a big thumbs up. L!ght weight easy to adjust,smooth operating and has made me believe I can retire my 7.25" corded saw. When making cuts in treated thick wood a little extra time will be required as you get your best results if you cut a little slower. Battery life is amazing and charging is fast for a 4ah battery pack(a little less than 1 hr average.) Frankly I needed a little cool down time after heavy use so it worked out well for both of us.

Item is light weight, no cord to get in the way, it's perfect for small or big projects. SKIL is great have always used there power tools. The saw even came with a charger with no additional charges like other competitors. Thanks SKIL!!!
