What a great product

I'm watching my leg hair like I'm going to see the hair grow, but that's only because I'm dying to know if it really works. It takes time to not see the results. I'll update later, but so far so good and I'm saved money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate shaving and have looked into different hair removal options but they are all very expensive. I was so excited to try out the Braun silk expert 5 for an alternative hair removal treatment that I could do at home for a fraction of the price. This came beautifully packaged with its own carrying case, a razor and an extra head to be used for smaller areas. I was very excited to start my treatments but a bit worried that it wouldn’t work, or it would be painful, or that I would have a reaction. Thankfully, it was painless with little to no irritation to my skin in most areas. I loved that there are two separate heads to use for big and smaller areas. I also liked that there were different modes and at first I did start off with the extra sensitive mode that had the lowest light intensity and gradually progressed to higher intensity as I got used to the treatment. This was very easy to use and after a few weeks of use I am already seeing a huge difference in hair growth. I am so happy I found a device that actually works in eliminating my hair growth. I was only using it on my legs at first to see if it worked and now will be using it on other areas. I love this product and highly recommend it for getting rid of unwanted hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice IPL hair removal system, I love the white and gold color combination, it has a sleek design which fits perfectly in your hand and the two heads are easy to change. The flashing light is really bright so I wear sunglasses and try to look away while using it. It says that the device has 400,000 flashes but there isn't a way to know how many flashes you have used or have remaining, it would have been a nice feature to have a digital counter. I realized that the precision head was not small enough to flash on my slim fingers. It's light so it's easy to hold and glide through large areas of the body. I like that it has 3 levels for intensity, I have been using it on the extra sensitive and sensitive setting for now.

At home hair removal that actually works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work in the operating room where we use a laser to burn hair follicles to prevent regrowth. This product is on par with that machine. It really works! I use it as directed and on several areas to see if I noticed a difference. According to the instructions the treatment needs to be repeated once a week for several weeks and then maintained on a 1-2 month basis. After just one treatment you can see a DRAMATIC difference. The hair grew back much slower and thinner. It does produce a sharp tingle when shooting the red light, but honestly it’s not that bad and completely worth the amazing results! I highly recommend this product!

Professional results at home with no experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was kind of scared at first but so excited to try this product out to see if it would work because I hate having to shave my legs so often. Since they recommend using it on a lighter skin tone, I thought this winter would be a perfect time to get started. I felt a little intimidated at first because this seems like such a professional product and I didn’t feel that I was qualified to use it, but it is actually very easy to use once you read through the easy-to-follow instructions. Most important is to make sure you shave well first to remove all the hair in the area you want to treat and pat your skin dry. I have pale skin with thick, dark hair that grows very fast so in the past I would have to keep shaving at least every other day to keep it from being noticeable. Before using this product, it seemed like my legs would start feeling prickly from hair coming back in the same day I shaved. I’ve used this once a week for a month so far. The second week I noticed my hair didn’t grow very fast at all and when it did come back in the hair was softer feeling and much finer, not as prickly. I do have some spots that I noticed no hair has grown back yet. They recommend after 3 months of weekly use you should be able to go down to once a month for maintenance. My skin already feels so silky smooth after using this product. I haven’t experienced any irritation after using it either.
It is very easy to use. It may take a couple tries at first to figure out how to hold it right so it can sense your skin correctly, but once you get the hang of it the process is a breeze and you can glide right along. There are 3 different settings you can adjust for strength. The first 2 don’t hurt too bad and are more of like a warm sensation, pinch or a sting for a split second, but the strongest one can be just a little painful. It is recommended to start out on the lowest setting to get used to it. There are 2 different size attachments so you can use it in smaller areas like bikini, chin, or upper lip or larger areas like your legs, arms, and stomach. It does have a sensor that picks up differences on skin tone such as moles or tattoos and adjusts. It has a light that flashes to tell you if it is in proper contact with a valid skin tone. It would be easier to maneuver if it was wireless, but I’m sure that would compromise the length of time you could use it at once. It is very bright when it flashes but wearing sunglasses and looking away during the flash helps.
I like that it also comes with a nice case to store all the pieces in and it makes it easy to travel with, if needed.
I’m really looking forward to the summer months of sporting shorts with smooth legs and not needing to worry about looking down at my legs to see hairs I missed screaming out at me or realize that I forgot to shave and then be self-conscious the rest of the day. I have already recommended this product to all the ladies I know.

Finally! Good and affordable hair removal at home

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been wanting to do hair removal for a long time but it’s very expensive to get it. I was thrilled to try out this Braun device and it didn’t disappoint. The unit itself is attractive and light weight. It’s very simple to use if you follow the instructions. I am very fair and the hair growth on my legs is almost a colorless brown so I wasn’t sure how it would do. But it read my skin tone right away and set itself to the highest level which scared me haha so I tested it and turned it down one notch (there are three) and I found that very manageable. It feels like tiny static shocks and it doesn’t hurt at all on fatty or muscular areas, on bone it’s the most noticeable. You move it like you’re shaving and can switch out the head for smaller areas. You shave first and they do provide a razor which is nice. You use the drive once as week and the first thing you’ll notice is regrowth is finer and like baby hair. There will often be no regrowth. I don’t yet know if I will have to redo in six months or whatever, but it’s easy so I’m not too concerned. If you can afford this product I highly recommend it!

So Happy To Finally Use This!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting to try an at-home IPL laser treatment. After spending a lot of late nights researching which IPL brand is best. I've decided to try the Braun Pro 5. I read the most consistent comments about this brand, and Braun is known for making good products. It comes with a Venus 5 Razor, a quick guide, and a cute leather carrying case. About me: I am an Asian-American woman who is 38 years old and has olive/golden skin and dark brown body hair. I have very little and very fine hair on my body. However, I chose to do my underarms first because the hair there is coarser. If you've ever had waxing, even on your eyebrows, you can start on the highest level if you want. The laser feels like a quick zap, and it hurts less than getting waxed. If you have good skin contact, the SensoAdapt will light up white. If you don't have good skin contact, it won't light up at all, and if you have an invalid skin tone, it will light up red. The device is simple and easy enough for me to use by myself, even on my armpits. You'll need to clean, shave, and dry the area before you start. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT ON WET OR DAMP SKIN. My armpits took about 5 minutes in total. The recommended treatment time is once every 4 to 12 weeks. Laser treatments (at home or in a salon) will never permanently remove hair; they will only permanently reduce hair growth. Our bodies change all the time, and so does the way our hair grows. After 3 weeks of treatments, I have less hair and smaller hair follicle pores. This is my first at-home treatment, and so far I'm happy with the results. I'm excited to try this next on my bikini line!
