Best Investment of my life!

I suffered from ingrown hairs/bumps every time I shaved so decided to buy this so I didn’t need to shave in hopes to not get the ingrown hairs. There was less hair regrowth after just one use and after 2 or 3 months I only had some peach fuzz. My hair is very course/curly and 2-3 hairs per pore! Probably related to Chewbacca! This device has not only saved me from ingrown hairs but also saved me time because now I don’t have to shave as to where I had to shave every day before! AMAZING!! Thank You Braun!!

I’ve been using for a couple of months now and my legs are staying completely smooth! Bikini line is much less but still needs more treatments. I’m medium shade of skin and dark hair. I’ve been using everywhere with no issues.

I was a little scared when i first bought it because its not a cheap item and i wasnt sure if its legit. Ive been using it for over 2 months or more and the results are great!! I started bikini and kept repeating every week once and the results were amazing so i just jumped to other parts of my body where i needed hair removal to be done and im absolutely in love. Im happy i did not waste my money. The only thing i could say is that you have to be consistent and do the hair removal process weekly until you see less and less hair growing. So dont be lazy about it or else you wont find results of course. I highly recommend girls!!!

Effective treatments ~ replacement heads?

Between my husband and myself, it is working very well. I'm on treatment 5 and my husband is on treatment 2. I notice a significant decrease in hair growth. I see pitting starting on the heads already but I am not finding replacement heads ~ this can't be the case, tell me you can buy replacement heads.

EYE DAMAGE

I used this for the first time. And like it's marketed, I didn't wear any protective eyewear. And then I woke up in the middle of the night with severe eye pain. I thought my eyes were just dry, but later during the day my eyes were still burning and blurry. And looking at any light was painful. I immediately booked an appointment with my eye doctor and I got a corneal flash burn. This product SHOULD NOT be marketed as safe without protective eyewear.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you aren't doing this already, do not look directly into the glass filter or attempt to activate the device toward the eyes. To protect the safety of your eyes and those of individuals nearby, the device will only activate when both skin tone sensors are placed against the skin, so the flash shouldn't be that strong. If at any time the device activates when both sensors are not in contact with the skin, STOP use immediately and contact your retailer as it wouldn't be up to our quality standards. I have been so hesitant to buy an at home ipl device because I didn’t believe it would actually work as promised and they are pretty expensive. I did laser hair removal for my underarms and bikini area when I was younger, but after many years and after hormone changes with having kids, new hair grew back. Reading through the reviews of most of the other devices on the market is pretty discouraging. So, when I started reading the reviews for the Venus Silk Expert, I was pretty impressed. Most women reviewed it at 4 stars or higher. I am an ideal candidate for laser hair removal with fair skin and brown hair. I decided to take the plunge and give it a shot. So, as far as using the device, it is fairly intuitive. Turn it on, place it on your skin, and press the button until it flashes. You can feel a slight twinge with some hair follicles. It is occasionally uncomfortable, but I would say more comfortable than tweezing. It gets a little warm and at least the first time I could smell a slight burned hair odor. I would recommend Braun provides glasses. The light is pretty intense (even with the device fully pressed against your skin). I have been closing my eyes during the flash. The first week I didn’t really notice any difference. Last week was my second week and I’ve noticed that as the hair in my bikini area grows out, it is falling out. Sweet! I have not noticed a difference yet on my legs or underarms, but they recommend 12 weeks of treatment so I’m pretty excited to see a difference in only 2 weeks!

Stopped working after 6 months

Quite disappointed. I bought this November of last year and after about 6 months it started really struggling to flash. The process started taking really long and it wasn't worth it anymore. Also, I have fair skin and dark hair, so I was hoping it would be quite effective but some areas of my body only reached about 60% hair reduction in that amount of time (was using it weekly). The skin tone sensor is quite annoying to deal with and I wish the max power on this was higher. I'm buying a more powerful device without the sensor.

While we're sure you know this, for safety reasons, both skin tone sensors must touch the skin. If the application area is too small, Braun Silk-expert will not emit any light pulses.
