Good but not as effective as I’d like

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried all kinds of different methods and this is one of the more effective at home devices I have tried. Not as painful as the epilator was for me but also not entirely effective as I have light brown hair and think this works best for really dark hair types.

As well, it may be helpful to know that the typical hair growth cycle varies between individuals and could take up to 18-24 months, depending on the body area (underarm, lower leg and bikini areas can take the most time). Since only hairs in their growing phase are susceptible to treatment with light, it is important to do multiple treatments to achieve continuously smooth skin. For this reason, we recommend a start-up phase of 4-12 weekly treatments to achieve optimum results. This IPL Shaver is amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shaver with IPL technology is amazing. I love the way it comfortably glides over my skin, especially in delicate areas. I dread re-growth in areas such as the face and chin. Most of the time you are the last to realize that it is there! How embarrassing. This device uses gentle pulses of light with subtle laser like pulses that help to shunt re-growth. It also has two different applicator heads, a charger, and a beautiful zipper case to store it in.

What you see is what you get and everything is super well-made and of the highest quality. The IPL process was not painful or unpleasant in any way. I'm super satisfied with the results and have no regrets. Overall, I in feel so beautiful and highly recommend this device!

Easy to Use & Works Very Well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 IPL is very effective and easy to use. The design is outstanding. It is shaped like a traditional razor and well-balanced making the treatments very intuitive. While there is a quick start guide, I read through the full instruction manual before the first use and recommend doing so. It provides some great tips & is well-written. The unit lights up when it is properly making contact so you always know if you missed an area so you can ensure thorough coverage. After using it on every area one would want to remove hair, the only "discomfort" I experienced, and only the first time, was a very light warmth on the upper lip which was brief and did not cause any redness. The unit comes with 2 tips (large & small), which easily swap out, so you can use it as you would a traditional razor and treat around bones & tendons as well as smaller areas with ease. Being able to do laser hair removal effectively, in the privacy of my home, has been fantastic! The unit comes in a cute storage bag allowing me to keep everything needed for treatment in one place & clean. I have experienced great results and the thinning of the hairs has been noticable. I am very pleased with the Pro 5 IPL and will continue with the treatment schedule advised in the manual. I look forward to using it for many years to come. 5-stars for sure!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive been using the Braun IPL hair removal for a few weeks now and I’m pretty impressed. I started with my armpits, doing one short session every day. I usually do it after a shower and it’s pretty quick and painless. I do have to ay in used to an epilator so I have high pain tolerance. I started to see the difference in hair growth in about 10 days. Honestly this is pretty awesome to be able to get salon quality results in the comfort of your own home. Also not having to book a session and find a sitter is a great plus. Amazing product very pleased.

Working great but a little painful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I've been wanting to try one of these out for quite some time now but finally decided to go with the Braun because of reviews saying it's painless and easy. So, I was very hopeful this would be an east option for painless hair removal. I was mistaken. It honestly is painful! The light from the product is extremely bright as well. I like the fact that my hair is growing back much slower now, but I don't know if it's worth the pain. I love the product design and I love the concept. I'm gonna keep it for a while to see if I can become tolerant and used to it over time.

Amazing alternative to shaving and waxing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not new to IPL devices as this is at least the 3rd IPL I have tried. I like Braun because I think it's a trusted brand and when I saw this new IPL from Braun, I knew I had to try it.
This comes with a little case, which I appreciate so I don't have to keep it in the box like my other IPL. They give you a razor, which is necessary since you'll want to shave right before you use this, otherwise it's painful.
Setup is easy, just make sure you look at the chart(before purchasing ideally) to see if you are a good candidate. Red hard, darker skin or grey hair are usually a no go for this kind of treatment.
There are different attachment sizes for different parts of the body(legs, face, etc). I watched a video before I ever tried and IPL just so I knew how to move it about my body. You'll want to essentially move it the length/width of the little screen on the attachment each time you move it.
It really isn't painful at all, and it literally takes less than 5 minutes per leg. You'll want to do this once a week for 4 weeks to start seeing results.
The device itself is easy to use and hold. My other IPL has a turnable head which is nice as it helps with the ergonomics. But this device isn't too hard to navigate into smaller areas.
Overall happy with this, and I know it'll last because it's a great brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since I started using this device, my hair growth in the regions where it is thinner has slowed down dramatically. The laser hair removal device is simple to use and operate. Using it hasn't caused me any irritation.
Oh, and I adore the storage case that was included! An absolute necessity for anyone looking for an effective solution to slow hair growth!
