Great option if you don't like shaving or wax

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started using this around Christmas and I'm so glad I did. Waxing and shaving can be painful. I was looking for an option that was less pain and less time-consuming. This is a great solution. I am already seeing results. The kit comes with the device, and a razor. You shave the area before application. Then you match the sensor up to your skin and it will give you a light if it is safe to use. I would suggest the first time you use this to use a more mild setting as you can experience some discomfort if you put the setting up too high the first time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Too sporadic

This isn't worth the cost for how sporadically it functions. When it feels like working it's speed and effectiveness is great. It's sensor is far too inconsistent or sensitive for the cost. It's so frustrating that i go back to an off brand IPL that cost 1/3 the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing results

I’ve been using this for several months now and am so thrilled with the results. I am Italian with very coarse dark hair and this machine has managed to make the hairs on my upper lip and private area completely disappear. My legs are about 90% hair-free and I do continue to touch up my areas every couple of weeks just to make sure they don’t grow back, but my skin is smoother than it’s ever been- strawberry legs are completely gone- and ZERO bumps/irritation in my private & bikini area! I am most impressed with my private/bikini area because I used to have so much irritation from shaving, now it is completely smooth and has boosted my confidence so much. I only wish I knew about this IPL sooner!! So happy with the results. If you are just starting or thinking about it, just do it and stay consistent because the results are AMAZING.

Result with only a few uses over a month

I was a shave every day girl and in just a few weeks I no longer need to shave every day. Actually I shave now about once a week! The hair is finer and lighter too! I love how easy it is to use. I have sensitive skin and had no reaction to it either! I definitely recommend for anyone who is sick of shaving!

So far so good....

I was getting tired of using a regular razor, so I began looking into Epilators and laser devices. Ultimately I decided on the laser remover, and to my surprise it's going well! After just 2 weeks I can see a lot less growth. In fact, so well I went ahead and started the bikini area. I wanted long-term removal so I spent a bit more in hopes of going 6 months of being relatively hair-free. My only concern, I do smell burning coming from the device at times, not sure why?
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love my Venus Silk Expert

It gets exhausting dealing with removal of the hair, so I have always wanted to try salon laser hair removal but unfortunately it's very pricey. I was thrilled to discover the Gillette Venus silk expert. It's so nice to have a easy to use, at home option for laser hair removal. The design is a sleek lightweight device that's very easy to clean. I started with my underarms. After only one week I could see a difference. The hair under my arms was coming back both less and thinner each week so I was able to shave less often. The product is only slightly painful with pulse jolts and it hurt less each time. I did not suffer any redness or irritation. I am very pleased with the product and excited to try more body areas next.

TMI but continue reading if you have ingrown hairs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For a reference I have medium colored brown hair that is naturally curly and fair colored skin. I have wanted to try the salon laser treatments but never could get past the cost for it!
I wasn’t sure how this machine would work for me especially considering a majority of the ingrown hairs I would get would tend to be curly hair trapped under the skin. I expected the IPL to just help limit how quickly the hair was growing but it exceeded my expectations by also limiting the amount of ingrown hairs I would develop. I have only been using the laser treatment for 2 weeks and I notice the hair that is regrowing is a lot finer and a lot more slow growing than it used to be. My bikini line for the first time I can ever remember is SMOOTH! As advised with the instructions I wouldn’t use this deviceh in any area that is inflamed at the time of treatment. I don’t notice much for pain at all anywhere it just feels a little warm to the skin.

Safety feature faulty, caused burn

I had read that if the safety feature flashed white, only then is it safe to use and the laser will work. The safety feature did flash white and I did indeed receive the laser pulses, but it caused burn marks on my skin tone despite this skin tone safety feature. Reference mac NC45).

Safety especially has always been at the forefront of everything we do, so be assured this isn't normal and not what we expect to happen when using our IPL as directed. Its sensor scans the skin up to 80 times per second and automatically and continuously corrects the light intensity on the basis of the skin color. However, it should never be used on large veins, darker pigmented areas, scars, skin anomalies without consulting your doctor first as using it on these areas can result in burns.
