Best AC I've ever had

This AC is fantastic. It's compact, well designed and quite powerful. Cools the living room of our 14th floor west-facing apartment in minutes. As others have noted, it does go into 'energy saving' mode when the room reaches a certain temperature but that doesn't bother us at all. It's also one of the more quieter brands.
I would recommend this to a friend!

short exhaust hose short cable

It's very hard to install this portable AC perfectly. The exhaust hose and cable are too short making it very difficult to reach both plug and the window unless there is a plug right below the window( check your rooms, no power plug will install right below the window). How much will a longer hose and longer cable cost?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quiet, compact and cools my space.

I researched a lot about portable acs and chose this one based on energy efficiency, price point, and reviews on performance. So far I am happy with this purchase.
- Takes an about a min or two to start cooling after turning the power on. I find it cools my living room space well.

I chose this portable a/c because it ticks all the boxes for me:

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
Only difficulty I encountered was the vent kit:
- Two panels is too short for my window, and the third panel connects to the other end (not stacking on top of each other. So the height I needed for my vertical window would have covered the hole for the hose (like another reviewer commented).
I thought about getting a different vent kit, but I couldn’t because it would have voided the manufacturer’s warranty. It mentioned in the instructions that the third panel could be cut at a hardware store to fit the window. Thankfully I had a family member who knows how to cut the panel, so they did it for me. They used a regular hacksaw ($8.00 at walmart).

I have bought extended warranty which covers Best Buy geek squad coming to my place to fix/replace the A/C on site. 🙂
Note: it doesn’t cover installation of the a/c. At the time of this review, the installation would have cost me 189.99 plus tax, which is like half the cost of the unit.. so that was a hard no for me.
*If you encounter fitting issues with the third pane of the vent kitl: measure your window and match the panels to that- marking on the third panel how much you need to cut off. Then, safely cut it with a hacksaw, or take it to a hardware store for them to cut it for you.

Compressor makes a loud clunk

It's not bad besides the fact when setting for optimal temperature, the compressor kicking on and off makes a very loud clunk.
Easy to set up and runs quiet at a low fan if you leave the temp set at low and leave the compressor running constantly.
