Good performance, low battery life, ugly lid

Good performance for the dollar compared to Razer, MSI, and Aorus.
Lower battery life than ASUS but that’s a relative concern if not mobile.
Ugly large logo lid design. Should be minimal like on Thinkpads or Ideapads. It’s tacky and unprofessional.
Lack of a microSD built in which is offered by competitors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the 5i Pro with the 3070 Ti. Stays pretty quiet and cool even under load. Has a high wattage RTX 3070 and runs any game I throw at it. I love the webcam circuit breaker so I have the peace of mind that my webcam is truly inaccessible. Solidly built and it feels better than most PC laptops I have owned. Most PC laptops feel a bit flimsy but the 5i feels solid. I also love the small detail of the lip on the screen so it is easier to open the lid when the lid is closed. Full sized backlit keyboard feels good and is responsive without being too clackity. The screen gets nice and bright and colors are pretty good. The screen doesn't look great at low light though. It looses a lot of contrast and looks a bit washed out at low light. The speakers are also just so-so but I never really use the built in speakers much anyway. Overall styling is understated and pretty boring but I don't mind it. I don't need a laptop that screams GAMING LAPTOP. so, overall I'm very happy with this laptop and with 2TB SSD storage and a 3070 video card, I'm sure I won't need an upgrade for several years to come.
