[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After weeks of research and comparing other manufacturers, I kept coming back to Lenovo and am glad I did. Lenovo has always made quality systems and this year's 2022 model is no exception. The build quality is solid (no screen twisting/flex), with the same world-renowned keyboard, several external ports, and new-age performance in a small chassis. I decided to switch from team red (AMD) to team blue (Intel) and the new 12th gen CPU is blistering fast. I didn’t realize how slow my previous computer was until I got this one. I am running (3) Think Vision T24-I10 Monitors with ease. I bought the system for performance and occasional portability as the 3050 Ti model came with the smaller of two power adapters (230w version). The new form factor of (16") provides a higher resolution and useful screen real estate but will limit your carrying case selections at this time as manufacturers work to develop new bags because most fit (13") or (15.6") or (17") models. This system has a ton of headroom for upgrades and expandability with an additional M.2 Slot and (2) removable DDR5 memory slots. I am extremely happy with my purchase and ecstatic that Lenovo continues to design and deliver industry-leading systems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good. I had a Lenovo Y50-70, which pioneered a 4K screen and was bright and beautiful. This machine is better. The highest resolution isn't quite 4K. It is very bright and clear, which is the real reason that I bought a gamer. Most laptops are really lacking in the display qualities. This screen is fairly matted so it doesn't pick up reflections easily. Very large SSD, so I have plenty of room. This is my primary traveling PC and it holds everything that I need. Also, much quieter than expected despite the big fans. Most of the time it is cool enough without a lot of spinning. Some people commented that it is very large but they are wrong. They are used to machines like Chromebooks or Ideapads. As someone who lugged a Thinkpad around for business for years, this thing is as light as a feather. Love the configurable backlit keyboard. Sound is even good despite ridiculously small area for speakers. Now it will come down to reliability. I won't be able to make that call for awhile. I don't like the touchpad because I don't like touchpads, period. However, this one is really good as touchpads go. Easy to move the mouse, and double-click works well. I recommend a Logitech Pebble mouse for travel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was only available with a 3050ti for some reason on launch in US but I decided to take a chance on it anyway. Runs games well with the 3050ti at 1080p but struggles at 1440p which is the native resolution of the screen. Unfortunately had two qc issues with mine on arrival. Had some major backlight bleed on my panel which I know can vary. Also had a click issue with touchpad on bottom right corner. Sometimes Realtek with not recognize the onboard sound and have to reboot. To sum it up between the QC issues and the lower 3050ti gpu laptop at launch was a huge disappointment and decided to return. If you are looking for an improvement over last GEN you will also be disappointed. Wait for 3070ti version and QC issues to be resolved or you could also be disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Main cons:
1. Severe fan noise even when few simple applications are running
2. 2 5 hrs battery life when just using excel, edge and chrome
3. Very bulky power adapter, weighs as much as the laptop
