Install guide was absolutely top notch! Love the Wyze products and Thermostat is working great! Some unfavorable reviews; however, don’t listen to them. Wyze did a great job with this product and the install guide is clear and thorough! App interface works great and provides all the Energy Star features, minus actual certification (which they are working on). If you’re looking for a smart thermostat, definitely consider Wyze Thermostat.
Thermostat works fine (not as functional as my Ecobee, but cheaper) - the big fail in usability is the fact that the remote sensor cannot be used as the SOLE temperature during different programs. At night, with my bedrooms upstairs, I ONLY care about temps upstairs (not downstairs where the base is). Greatly reduces the usefulness of the thermostat - I would not recommend until this is fixed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the thermostat with the three pack of 'button' sensors. I got this one because my husband isn't tech-friendly, and I wanted it to be a simple adjustment when he uses it. The temp was a couple of degrees off, against a thermometer next to it, but that is easily adjustable in the app. My issue is really with the buttons' setup. The app lets the user include the buttons in the temp schedule, and the variance can be adjusted for each one. Example: I have one in the basement family room. It's always colder down there, so I set the variance to 7 degrees. If the temp down there is 60 degrees and the thermostat is set to 68, the heat will kick on until the basement is at least 61. The problem is the app keeps changing which buttons I include in that comfort setting. It will add and drop buttons regardless of where I set them. It's too early to know if this system will save money on the bills. I'm doubting it, since I have forced air heat, and three stories to deal with.
The thermostat is really good. Like all the features. The away feature is nice so I can set it when we’re gone rather than resetting temperatures each time. Not all wifi thermostats have auto mode to change from heating to cooling.
Each sensor shows a different temperature when sitting side by side and different than the main thermostat.
Great thermostat! Great connectivity, awesome user interface, easy scheduling. As always, the walkthrough guides in the Wyze app were phenomenal. Very happy to see auto switch, physical lockout and motion sensor screen. One thing missing vs our old thermostat is the outside temp - It's super neat to see outside vs inside temp on the tstat. Could this be cured with an update? Otherwise a great choice of thermostat, and keeping number of apps minimized is a great plus. Absolutely loving the one stop household type app that Wyze has deployed.
This thermostat is a big improvement from the nest it replaced. The main difference being you have control of your thermostat, for some reason Google decided they should have a say in your temperature selection. Everything is simple to program except the scheduling, The scheduling needs to be cleaned up. It is apparent the developers do not use the scheduling feature.
