I installed this 5 days ago, I had to install the c adapter as I only have 4 wires in my system. Install took about 25 min. and set up was a breeze. The temperature reading seems to be off by about 2 degrees f. witch I corrected in the app. It does seam to overshoot on the heating to about 2 to 3 degrees above the set point. I can't find any info on how to adjust this. I wish there were some more descriptions on how the different features work that are available in the app, so I don't have to change a setting and wait and see how it effects the operation. Overall this, so far, seems to be a very nice thermostat with some nice features. Hope long term goes as well as first 5 days.

Easy install, was a tad nervous at first, but the app walked me though the entire process of turning off power labeling, and installing my thermostat. This thermostat feels very well made, turned my old HVAC system into a smart one, that I can control from anywhere.

So far so good. I worked as an HVAC technician and also am a licensed electrician so I had no problems or concerns installing this thermostat. It may be too soon to provide a long term review as I've only had it a few days. The thermostat could be a challenge for many people as it's more than just a "plug and play" type component. I could recommend some purchasers consult or have it installed by a HVAC company or a competent "Handyman" in their neighborhood. Despite working in the field, I never had a "smart" thermostat before now as others were too costly for us. I purchased this item based on value and my experience with Wyze products so far. My only concern is the lack of documentation for the thermostat. The features could be better explained also when you dive deeper into the application.

I love the lock out feature! Simple function and app control makes it easy to keep tabs on home comfort. The auto away is also nice. I left and checked thw temp to see it automatically went to "away mode".

Temperature at your fingertips...Love this gadget!

I bought this because I wanted to come home to a warm house. I wanted to try to install this myself and I was able to with no problem by following the step by step process and watching the "show me" videos provided. I am NOT tech-savvy nor am I an electrician but I felt comfortable installing this. (I felt like a genius once the installation was complete and passed the testing process) Very easy to install and works great! I love that I can control the temperature by using the app on my phone so when I'm on my way home I can adjust the temperature as needed so by the time I get home, my house is nice and toasty!

It works. I have it set to be only controlled by the app. Yet, the app does not override when you walk into the room. If you have the room set for away or sleep and then walk into the room, it will kick the thermostat on. It's very frustrating since I may have to walk into the room for a min to do something and then the furnace comes on with me not intending to be in the house for that long. I am in and out of my house all day and don't want the furnace to kick on just because I came home for a few mins. In addition, sometimes, I am home all day so I do want it to come on, but only if I turn it on from the app. Strange to have app controlled set in the settings then have the thermostat come on because it detects motion

Great, but not as simple to install as it sounds

I want to give it 5 stars, but...it's a bear to install if you don't have a c-wire. I literally don't have a C-wire on my HVAC control board, so I had to do a lot of internet searching to get it figured out. Not all HVAC systems are the same. 2-1/2 hours later and I'm still not 100% sure I installed it like a professional would, but my furnace and the thermostat have worked for the last 3 weeks. It's so easy to use and to set schedules. I love it, but can't give it 5 stars only because of the installation issue.
