Misleading Specs (NEEDS POWER SOURCE FROM WIRE)

I live in an apartment and do not have access to my HVAC, but I can change out the thermostat. So I researched this product to see if I could use it without the C/common wire. It says right in the specs online "No C-wire needed". Cool, I can use it then? Nope. It has an adapter that can work to give off power but it requires you to rewire your HVAC, which I do not have access to. I even did the compatibility checker and it just told me it would work, but didn't mention the need for this adapter or that I would need to install it to make it work. So overall I am very disappointed by the information given about this product that is very misleading. I bet it is a fantastic device that I would love, but I guess I will have to send it back or sell it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there! If you have a heat only system and no C-wire you should have Rc, G, and W1 wiring instead. We would recommend taking a look at this article for further information regarding this:

I love this thermostat. Was not pleased with the install process. The website compatibility checker told me my wiring wasn't compatible, but asking around on the forum yielded answers that made it super easy. Also, the knob is awesome but it turns counterintuitively, so I mis-dial every time. Lastly the Alexa commands are super limited and not listed anywhere so that functionality is a huge disappointment. But the thermostat and its app-based functionality work great.

Easy to install an looks great. Works pretty well, but I don't know why it starts the furnace for 5 seconds, turns off for 5 seconds, then turns back on. It also takes several minutes to turn off when I turn the heat down.

A Good Choice for a Programmable Thermostat

Good choice for a WiFi programmable thermostat. After using many different brands the WYZE Thermostat is simple to install and easy to manage from the app. Configuring the schedule was harder than others I've used and navigating the controls from the thermostat is not straight forward like others but you will get used to it.

Awesome product. Easy to Install. Only downside was when my phone went dark, I had to go back to beginning of install instructions. That's an easy fix.
