These thermostats have been a solid buy and an improvement for us. We bought two to manage two heatpumps in our house. They have worked well for the most part. Installing them was fairly simple, but both stated there were wiring errors on installation, despite confirming with Wyze support that they were correctly wired. They worked well following this. One briefly had its screen become fuzzy and hard to read, but it seemed to straighten itself out. (Powering it down, popping it off the wall, and putting it back on seemed to have no effect.) Given the price and it's functionality, I'd buy it again.

Easy to install but a lot more complicated to set actual settings : wording for setting temperature is unclear and definitely have had to re enter app many times to start or stop the system.

My house either gets super hot or super cold there's no one between it won't just stay at a certain temperature. Doesn't matter what I set the thermostats to, it doesn't save the information and as soon as I go look at it it's back to some crazy number.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
