I love this but if I compare it to my previous Thermostat I wish the app displayed the local temperature along with the temp in the house. Liked to see it while on vacation.
I used to have Google nest but it kept getting flaky. So I install this thermostat with a little bit of reservation. But I’ll be honest I absolutely love it
Once installed the thermostat is simple to operate and has a good balance of features. The install was a bit tricky since the terminals on my existing thermostat did not match the Wyze terminals. However, once I quit trying to apply my HVAC skills and followed the step-by-step walk through on the app the install went well. It was just difficult to restart the process when landing the wrong wire on the wrong terminal the first time.
Lots of features combined with ease of use make this a winner. We had a competitors smart thermostat that was a constant headache. I thought we would give this a try since all of our other wyze products have been so wonderful. No surprise, the thermostat is high quality and easy to use just like I have come to expect from Wyze.
I bought 2. The one installed on my furnace/AC is working as expected. The one installed on my heat pump is not working. I currently have a "log" submitted but the auto fan feature does not work and my app, while fully updated, is missing an option; so right now it's sitting on my counter until I get a fix from Wyze. Installation was a breeze, but configuring the thing (esp. schedules) is not very intuitive. I want to love them, but right now, not so much.
