Instructions are clear and concise. Make sure your WiFi router is broadcasting 2.5 only; I could never get the thermostat to connect while it was broadcasting dual 2.5 & 5 Gz

Real world install

Great design, intuative app. I like the optional oversized back plate that is included in the kit. Mine has been online for 1 month or so with the only hitch being; I left the app up on my phone and accidentally cranked the heat up to 90°, I woke up in the middle of the night sweating...operator error.
My install required the extra constant 24v line from the boiler to the thermals. Luckly the original wiring had unused conductors and I was able to google the install adaption. So not to much trouble there, just an extra 30 min. or so in research and work at the boiler.
I plan on swapping all my units to this Smart Thermostat.
Great unit!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Beware! Minimum is only 50 degrees

Bought this for my garage. 50 degrees as a minimum in the garage would cost me quite a bit in energy as compared to the 40-42 degrees I have kept it at. my old mercury thermo is going back in and this device might in up in the trash. Wyze doesn't seem inclined in updating this for garages and cabins. Not a wise buy for cabins or garages. I have been impressed by all the other Wyze devices I have but I this might be the last one I buy. Expect and demand better.

Fix the Wifi loss problems

Works great but keeps losing Wifi which I have to reset by powering down furnace. This is my vacation home so this is not a great device to keep my home communicating with temps and any problems with temps. Wifi is strong and 8 feet from thermostat!

Couldn't be more pleased with this wifi thermostat. The well designed app is loaded with thoughtful features lets you monitor and control your system from virtually anywhere. Very cool retro aesthetic looks great glows burnt orange when heating and blue for AC. Solid feeling combo knob for manual control.

Good value, but could use more flexibility

I bought this thermostat for our vacation home. The main feature I was looking for was the ability to remotely control the thermostat. This thermostat functions well in that area. In addition, the installation and set up was very easy with well laid out step-by-step instructions. The reason I don’t give it five stars is because I find trying to set up a schedule somewhat confusing and lacking flexibility. It’s fine if you want to set up a simple schedule and you can set up a home, away, and sleep schedule, but what I’m looking for is to vary the schedule within one of those subsets. That’s the only issue I have had with the thermostat and it’s a good value.
