Great product, needs to fix one major design flaw

I'll be honest, the thermostat itself works great. However, there is one major design flaw on it. It has a feature that allows you to lock the thermostat so it can only be used exclusively on the app. However, it is easily unlocked from the thermostat itself That's allowing people to unlock it whenever they feel like it, change the temperature and then locking it again thus defeating the entire purpose of having the lock in the first place. This could probably be taken care of with a simple from where updates or app update.

Does not work for my heating and coin system did not know this until I ran the install program my wires are indicated with a W one through six. This is required g y r c w … when I was able to figure it out, I hooked up my wire according to the diagram I had no power going to the thermostat so be prepared when buying this, it may not work

I bought this in order to use a Wyze credit I received after a previous purchase. I've had it for about 3 weeks and it works how you'd expect. I would prefer it if the display cycled between displaying the current temperature and the time as my old programmable thermostat did, but overall, I'm pleased.

Overall a great product that works as designed. The scheduling is straight forward and intuitive to use via the app, the thermostat itself is not to difficult to figure out - push the knob and turn as appropriate.
What is keeping it from 5 stars? Loses Wifi connectivity more than other Wyze product I own (I have over a dozen of them). I have two in two different homes on two completely different ISPs - it's not the networks, it is this device. It just loses the wifi connectivy, if you are home no biggie - pull it off the plate and put it back on. On the second house where I could not get to easily it was disconnected for a week, I rebooted Starlink remotely and no dice, then magically several days later it came back online. Other issue which is more minor is the usage stats - can't be trusted, I've seen it say my heat has run for 18 hours in a day and since I was home I know that not to be true. Overall a solid product though.
