Thermostat is working good, but really hard to figure out how to program and then it just does something different. I have to go thru lots of trials and errors to figure out. Absolutely NO support from Wyze. Seeking support (on several Wyze products) is horrible! It is a catch 22 support process; have to start by selecting from choices and after several choices end up back at beginning without answer.
Wyze Products are some of the best and most affordable products on the market. Unfortunately, their thermostat only ticks one of these boxes. The two biggest complaints I have is the motion sensor is not sensitive enough - you need to be right in front of it for it to send to you and then illuminate the screen - and the rotating dial doesn’t rotate smoothly. There’s an odd resistance to moving it like it’s plastic in plastic. Overall, not bad for the price, but definitely not great.
It is a basic thermostat with no learning capability and difficult controls. It is not accurate either, needs sadly several iterations before it can compete with others in market.
I love my Wyze Thermostat! It was easy to install and works great via the app or the device control knob. I was hoping to see a reduction in HVAC cost based on the sensor and home/away detection, but so far it has been the same. Regardless, the device looks amazing, works extremely well, and gives me total control over the HVAC environment in my home.
i couldnt install it it says its not supported for number of wires i had coming out from wall. Have to return it. Probably is great for one that works. So if you have only two wiires do not buy it
Need to be able to see detailed logs but there is no way to get that. Also when it is set to auto mode and AC comes on I can't tell why it is running since the temperature set in the thermostat is not reached
Biggest issue is that it will not turn on unless you are changing the temp at least 2 degrees. Was not documented anywhere, and this feature really baffles the non-tech members of the house who just want things to work. Otherwise works as expected.
