This is my second thermostat that I have purchased hoping that Wyze would have resolved the intermittent WiFi offline issues. This unit is at my farm but it appears that the WiFi issue hasn’t been resolved. Good product but the WiFi issue is what keeps it from being great and a market leader!

Frustrating Installation - Once Working Happy

We had a bit of trouble getting the thermostat installed, we had 6 wires, and it was difficult to tell exactly what slot they were in. Then we could not get the app to locate the thermostat. We were very frustrated; the cameras were easy to set up and use. After about 30 minutes of searching, we finally found out that we needed to reset the thermostat by pushing the dial for about 3-5 seconds. After that we were able to link the thermostat. We love the ease of being able to change the temperature in the house with the app. We also like that we can monitor the temperature of our home while we are away.

Didn't have a common wire, but the thermostat wire bundle had spare w]res, so I repurposed a spare wire in the furnace and attached to ground (common) and then everything worked as advertised.
