It's super easy to adjust in the app. The install was a little more involved due to my wiring. But With some help from the community, I was able to get it handled. I'm still tinkering with the settings, but I'm loving it this far.

They should stick with cameras

I so bad wanted this to work. I have a camera and the headphones from Wyze. The thermostat would have been the next step in home automation. The app has a step by step video that seems easy enough to follow. However, after labeling the wires per the video's instructions and connecting them to the Wyze thermostat, the app was unable to detect a wire connection. I removed the wire that was "not detectable" and then placed it back in to the thermostat, to only get the same error message. So I decided to unplug everything, and reinstall the old thermostat. I have since discovered other people have the same issue. It seems to be a Wyze thermostat problem. Will return the thermostat through Amazon since that is how I purchased them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Will not allow heat & cool temp range of 72-74, because it forces a minimum of 5 degree gap between heating and cooling temps. No option to shorten in settings.

Awesome cost/benefit ratio and is super simple (on the device interface itself) to use while being powerful (via the wyze app). Can lock the physical device (kids!), easy schedules and exceptions (hold temp), preferences, cheap room sensors, temp differential, corrections and simple things that other brands miss. The only "cons" I've had so far is the front wheel scroll to the opposite to what's intuitive to me... I guess eventually get used to that. And the installation of the C-Wire adapter down on the furnace was a complexity I wasn't anticipating, given I had a previous smart thermostat from another brand that didn't require that.

Defective unit

I got this in the mail today. My old thermostat has a c wire. So I did not need the adaptor for this unit that it came with. When going to install the wires, there is no where to put a c wire. When looking at pictures of other thermostats, ours seems to not be right and seems defective.

I wanted to love my new Wyze thermostat, but I don't really care for it as is. I don't like the temperature swing. My family reports being either cold or hot, not just right. This was not a problem with my Sensi. I also don't like the way it controls my fan. I don't know why it was designed to work that way. I don't want a blast of cold air every time my furnace runs. And finally, I have a two-stage furnace / AC that was never addressed when setting up the Wyze. I feel like my two stages are not being utilized, and even worse possibly being damaged by the Wyze thermostat. I really love the Wyze platform and wanted to use the thermostat but don't want to damage my equipment or be uncomfortable. Also, it would be nice to see the temperature in red or blue (if running) on the home tab.

I came from having a Nest and Honeywell smart thermostats. The Wyze has a much better price but it does not have as tight control. The temp variant is much broader.
Good choice for a WiFi programmable thermostat. After using many different brands the WYZE Thermostat is simple to install and easy to manage from the app. Configuring the schedule was harder than others I've used and navigating the controls from the thermostat is not straight forward like others but you will get used to it.
