Decided to update 14 year old GE stove, so we purchased this model because we like the coil burners for using cast iron pans.

Top gets too hot

I went from a slick top to this..it doesn't matter if your using oven or burner but the center top and front gets too hot to touch .

Has its problems

I have had a very hard time calibrating this oven. I set it twice and still not registering. The alarm indicates that it has reached temp but no. Is almost consistently off by 50º Makes it a little hard to make a meal or bake properly
