Pretty basic oven and range

This is a pretty basic oven and range, but it looks really nice and does the job. Our previous oven was a Samsung slide in and had the flat top and dials in the front. I didn’t realize how important that was till we purchased this oven. The upright control panel in the back is too close to my cabinets and gets awfully hot when I use the back burners and oven at the same time. It’s a great design and does a great job cooking and heating food, but next time I think about the area this oven needs to be set into.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not happy with time to preheat. Top gets very hot to touch on left hand corner when baking!

sub-standard manufacturing

Ordered this range online. Wanted a basic, manual clean range for an apartment. When it arrived the bottom storage drawer was very crooked & didn't close correctly. Spoke to the place where I bought it to get it repaired, instead they ordered a replacement range. Got 2nd range, same exact thing! Plus the hole for one rear leg, where you can adjust the height, was drilled crooked so it won't go down as far as the other side. Kept the range as too much hassle to return - again - but now sits above countertop because leg won't go down any further. Have turned it on & everything seems to work OK but tenant hasn't moved in yet so only time will tell. Also the "manual" it came with barely has any info about the oven. It mentions the "control knob (some models)" but never mentions the digital control at all, which is what this range has! Going to search online to hopefully find a more complete manual. Always thought GE was a good brand. Certainly re-thinking that after this experience.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
