QUALITY LACKS, SENSI TEMP TECHNOLOGY STINKS NO OPT

I am a loyal GE appliance owner. I have owned several other brands and I have over the years converted to now everything GE. Since we updated our kitchen I wanted to update to stainless steel appliances. Which meant that even though there was nothing wrong with the current ones we were buying new for the stainless steel finish. My GE dishwasher is 13 years old. I have NEVER had to have it worked on. Mostly just cosmetic issues. My stove was given to me by a local college that was updating the dorms with new appliances. And I have had that for 13 years and it has not needed a thing. My refrigerator was a side by side. We just hated the design of the refrigerator and aside from filter issues again no problem. So it was a no brainer that we went with GE on our new purchases. My refrigerator is perfect, my dishwasher is quiet and efficent. BUT THIS STOVE.......IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is not many options for a stainless stove with the coil burners. And I am also a loyal coil burner user. I do alot of canning. Some items which takes extensive heating and cooking appropriate times. This new "sensi-temp" technology is pure stupidy. I have not had to do canning yet with this new stove but I am already seriously concerned this stove will not hold up to what I need. The burners are just ugly with the new design. And what gives with not giving a fingerprint resistant option on a coil top stainless appliance??? I searched the internet far and wide for that in a GE appliance. I also noticed the new stoves have "air fryer" options as well as double ovens. But not with coil burners. WHY? Old school people dont get the option of the features? This stove is AWFUL to keep clean. After every meal it has smudges, food residue, grease splatters, fingerprints, etc...and it looks gross. I feel like I "wax" it more then my car. The top of the stove when raised to clean beneath the burners is rickity. Its like it comes "unhinged" and does not feel smooth and easily accessible. I dont k now about others but I clean under the burners and the top every week or often. I compared it to my very loyal GE stove from years ago and the quality has just went way down hill. I dont mind to pay more for better quality but I feel this stove missed the mark big time. The bottom drawer may as well be cardboard as it is so small and flimsy. I cant fit a slightly larger cookie sheet in it for storage. You can even stand back a few feet and look towards the control part of the stove , just below that and you can see a huge gap between the controls and the stove. I am just in complete shock at this stove and how bad it was designed. Not everyone wants or could benefit from the "sensi-temp" technology. I just hope I am able to sear steaks and fry chicken without issues. I hate cooking and now I hate this stove. Worst appliance I have ever owned. Im stuck with this junk because a coil burner stove with stainless steel fingerprint resistance without sensi temp technology is not existant. GE Appliances, please consider removing the sensi-temp and having more options for those who chooose coil burners.

stove top gets dangerously hot

while I appreciate the temp sensor tech..I have to buy all new pots and pans to insure compatability. the top of the range is dangerously hot when using the oven . i joked about cooking an egg on the surface ..I did it ....it cooked through . i placed a small pan on the middle of the stove top and the egg cooked . this just isnt right . Ive been a professional chef for almost 40 years and have a high tolerance for heat . so......

Got oven.Hungry. Bought ingredients to cook in oven. No oven knob. 2 sentences provided on sheet of paper were not enough to be able to use oven. Ordered Take Out!

To turn the oven on, press the bake pad and then using the + and - on your controls adjust the temperature and once you've done that, press the start pad.

Oven door handle constantly breaks, this stove is put together poorly. Also the indicator light stays on even after burners are off. Had to replace the switch..Do not buy!!!

Best stove I have ever owned!!

I bought this stove 4 years ago and let me tell ya it's the same now just as it was when I first bought it! The knobs are easy to read and understand. The sleek fixtures look beautiful in any style kitchen, It heats up rather quickly and the oven cooks food very thouroghly all the way through just right! It self cleans and is a breeze to keep clean. The burners heat up rather quickly and cool down as just the right speed. I've made many casseroles,pies,cakes,pizzas,pot pies you name it in the oven and always comes out delicious and delectable. The stove top burners are quick to heat up soups to making stir fryand tacos to pastas and stews. I love to cook and its my best friend in the kitchen. I recommend this to everyone and I give it a 10 out of 10!!

disappointing cook ability

Heats quickly then turns off, food gets greasy and soggy before it comes back on, oven temp is over 50 degrees off. Took 41/2 hr to cook a turkey breast.
