Great Product

Just replacing my old GE, that still works great, with a stainless steel model. Great to find a new unit that still has the coil eye top. One week in and this stop performs as good as the old one, as expecting from a GE range!

Gets the job done

Our last one the glass top broke. This time we went with the coils have had it for a month so far so good. The lower pullout storage is a little flimsy but for the price you can’t beat it.

Stove is very basic. The all black is very shiny and stand out against my other black appliances. Have use it once so far, and notice whe the oven is on, the top of the stove gets very hot. Like the fact the burner are removable for cleaning . Like the price. Livery hard to find an electric stove , especially with out the glass tops

GE hotpoint with sensi-temp burners

The oven part of the new stove is great, however we are not at all impressed with the new 'sensi-temp technology' burners on the stove top. They cook very slow and are very fussy with older cookware. I do not like the sensi-temp burners, my old burners cooked much faster. GE please go back to the regular burners they were much better on our older Hotpoint stove. Looks like we have no choice in the matter because all the stoves we saw had the same sensi-temp burner. Gotta pick up some of the old burners for our new stove or would love it if you would let me swap out these for the old fashioed burners, then I would love my new stove.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there – thanks for reaching out about your new free-standing range. We’re glad you like the oven part of your new stove but understand your concern regarding the change to Sensi-Temp burners. Starting in 2018, UL (Underwriter's Laboratory) regulations require all electric coil top ranges to have temperature limiting capabilities to reduce the risk of cooktop oil and grease fires. As a result, our electric coil burners now use Sensi-Temp Technology. Unfortunately, Sensi-Temp burners on ranges and cooktops manufactured on or after the regulatory change (including your model) cannot be replaced with burners without Sensi-Temp Technology.
