It fit the bill. I needed a basic electric range ASAP and it works great. I did have to recalibrate the temp to 25 degrees higher, but that was easy to do.

Had to replace my stove about 30 plus years…So far it’s perfect! Easy installation! It’s sure has made cooking easy and fast! Now I can’t wait until Thanksgiving to cook this year!

I’ve been cooking on a coil top all my life. 2 years ago I needed a new stove. I decided I would go with the crowd and get a flat top range. What a huge mistake. I hated it from day one. So after 2 years of carrying on about my horrible stove I gave in and bought the GE coil top. The first time I turned it on I had my cooking grove back. The quality isn’t near a good as the older ones but then again what is. All in all I’m very pleased.

I like the stainless steel but the cooking top is black and it always looks streaked. I do not like that. So far, it works like my old harvest gold appliance that I hated to part with but the oven stopped working and I couldn't get parts because it was made in 1976. Today all you get is a 1 year warranty unless you buy an extended policy. That's another reason I hated to part with the old one along with my 1976 harvest gold frig.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The cooktop on your new range is porcelain enamel and if acids such as fruit juices, tomato or vinegar spill on the cooktop while it is hot, use a dry paper towel or cloth to wipe it up right away. When the surface has cooled, wash with soap and water. Rinse well. For other spills such as fat spatterings, wash with soap and water or mild cleansing powders after the surface has cooled. Rinse well. Polish with a dry cloth.
