Great Vacuum Despite Limited Floor-type Uses

* Excellent for tile, hardwood, concrete, and any hard surface floors
* Not going to replace your handheld vacuum due to its limits to only hard surface floors
* Great for dusting (and therefore sucking up bugs too). For flooring, provides better dusting than using dry dusting push-broom systems.
* Definitely worth serious consideration as an addition to larger scale housekeeping appliances
Pros
* Maneuvering
* Under furniture, but would be better w extension making it longer
* Battery life: enough to clean entire, all-tile kitchen, dining room, living room, and office, including going into closets and under furniture.
* Excellent storage mounting system
* Buttons and clips to disengage the lint canister are much improved from my personally owned V10 and Upright Dyson vacuums
Cons
* Might be too short for taller people
* Almost anything (power cord, edge of a rug, backpack strap) stops the vacuum beater bars from spinning , requiring a power reset
* Only 2 year warranty
* Lots of dumping the canister due to its small form factor

Dyson Has Done It Again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dyson has a magical way of giving people what they need, before they even know it. I've been using the Omni Glide for a week now, and I can honestly stay I'm blown away. Not only is this the lightest Dyson I have in my home, it's also the easiest to use. The Omni Glide is perfect for my hard surfaces and the double roller heads ensure all debris are swept up. The casters on the bottom make it seamless to maneuver in any direction. I also love how this machine has a power switch in leu of a trigger. This makes it much easier to get under furniture as the Omni Glide lays flat unlike my V11. The Omni Glide is the perfect companion for spot cleaning when I don't want to pull out my larger Dyson stick vacuum. I'd recommend this product to anyone who has hard surfaces! Trust me, it's a game changer.

Addicted to vacuum!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since we got a new kitten we decided to give it a shot on Omni-glide on the hardwood floor. It is excellent on handling and maneuvering around corners and in-between furnitures. I like the Dyson Ball that I have but it is a drag when using using it is for vacuum 14 hardwood stairs from up and down. It is not cordless so I have to plug and unplug 4 times all over my house to get the job done. Not to mention the weight of it. And we became so lazy that we barely vacuum our house probably 2 times a month. Not until we got the Omni-glide, we have been vacuuming every single day now. The replaceable battery is the key I decided to buy this great product. Love it. Love it. And Love it!

This is one of my best purchases and love how convenient, light and quick it is to clean up messy areas. Worth every penny and this has made me a fan of everything Dyson comes up with!

Great for hard floors - nothing else comes close

My first device was dead on arrival. Got it replace. Certainly a hassle.
Able to look past as that as it truly is a brilliant innovation and offers excellent cleaning. I truly wish Dyson continues to innovate this design.
The charging unit is poor plastic. To remove the power chord fro the wall adapter is a nightmare. Dyson really needs to do something about it. Their videos are bogus and it does not click out that easy.
Love it and Dyson still has some work to do.

An exciting cleaning upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, this new Dyson innovation does an excellent job picking up debris, (all the usuals), constantly littering the floor. The machine is lightweight, and therefore, easy to carry around, and compact, eliminating knocks and bangs to walls, objects, and furniture. It is remarkably maneuverable in all directions, smoothly rotating to every point without hesitation or difficulty.
Makes cleaning easier!

Great for Tile

We have a large house with both tile and carpet and 5 cats. We use our regular sized dysons all the time but I purchased this smaller version to have in rooms that require frequent pickups in rooms with tiled floors. I love it! It is very compact and moves around the room so smoothly. Wonderful that you dont have to hold a trigger down but just push a button to turn on and off. This will be much easier to turn into the shorter version to use on furniture etc. I was hoping to also get this for my elderly mother-in-law to use but the handle with battery area would be too heavy for her. I do think this is a great and useful addition to our Dyson Family.
