Perfect for hard floor touch-up, fast and easy

We bought this 6 months ago and it has worked great. You just grab it from the wall mount and zoom it over the floor. It gets all of the cat and dog hair, dust, crumbs and other stuff that ends up on the floor. We mounted it on a wall behind a door that opens to the pantry in a very small spot. The best thing about this vacuum is how small it is. We clean the removable roller in warm water and wipe the base clean about every two weeks. We hope that Dyson continues to sell a unit like this one due to its size. No othe vacuum on the market fit our needs like this one.

Solves a great need!

I was always looking for a light and effective vacuum cleaner for hard floors, and the omin glide is the perfect answer! Love the 360-swivel head and the ease of cleaning the device. I truly wish Dyson continues to research and release even more powerful tools for the hard surfaces. If V1 can be this promising keenly awaiting the future releases of this product.

Less than a year old and not working again

It’s at the Dyson service center for the 2nd time. The fact it fits under couches is great, but if you are going to buy it get it from someplace that will replace it and honor the warranty versus Dyson.

Please design a HW brush floor tool w/out rollers

Plan to spend the time you saved using the Omni-glide wasted trying to clean and remove with succulent tweezers and scissors the hair and debris that wraps around the sides of the wheels of the big rollers and the tiny wheels. For a rather expensive gadget, I have resorted to the rollerless crevice tool to vacuum my hardwood floors. For hardwood floors, Dyson, please design a plain brush floor tool for the Omni-glide package.

Horrible roller brush

The little glide rollers underneath the big rollers get tangled with dog hair and fuze. Impossible to clean. This was a waste of money. I wish I could return it.

Great for non-carpeted floors

I bought this a few weeks ago because I’d just moved into a new place that doesn’t have any carpet at all anywhere in the house, so I figured this would be a good addition for keeping my floors clean, while I continue to use my V15 on all carpets and rugs I put down in the home. I’m not sure why it’s got such a low rating because it works flawlessly and perfectly. I’m assuming those people didn’t realize this is made specifically for hard floors? Idk, but this is far lighter and more maneuverable than my V15-which is already light and maneuverable itself-but the design of this is very similar to how you’d use a broom, with the handle being similar and the way that you can easily move it in any direction similar to how Swiffer sweepers move makes it intuitive and simple to use. The double spinning fluffy cleaning heads easily sweep up any dust, dirt, and debris from your floors and leave it perfectly clean. It does work better if you kind of slowly move it around to allow the cleaning heads to brush up everything rather than just moving it around quickly like you would a mop or broom, but you get perfectly clean floors if you just patiently go over it once. I also appreciate that it comes with all the other attachments so that you’re able to use it as a handheld for light cleaning in between uses of my full size/power V15, and it’d also got a mini motorized tool as well that’s great for using on furniture, and the lighted crevice tool is great as well. The bin isn’t very large, so if you have a home like mine where every floor is a hard surface then you may need to empty the bin halfway through. But I’ve got a cat inside and have about 2,200sq ft of floors I use this on and I’m able to do the whole house and my living room furniture before the bin fills all the way up. It’s also got a long enough battery life to do the whole house and furniture on a single charge, and I’ve never really had to use the max suction mode, as regular/eco seems perfectly adequate. Either way, this is an absolute must have for anyone with hard floors in their home (it’s also great to vacuum your car out with) and I’m definitely satisfied with my purchase

Living fulltime in my RV weight and size are important elements when buying items. This vacuum is light and fits wells in the tight spaces. Cleans very well.
