Love our Dyson Omni Glide - we live in a 5 story Brownstone and this product is great for cleaning the wood stairs as it is extremely maneuverable. Also great for picking up light dirt and dog hair on a daily basis - I do clean regularly to ensure best performance.

I have had this product for over a year. The Omni-glide is fun to use and easy to take apart for cleaning. It has great suction and makes vacuuming dirt a breeze. We have a small apartment with wood floors and use it daily. Love it!

I bought this vacuum because my mom never stops vacuuming and it was super annoying! Now its much more quiet when she vacuums because this vacuum very quiet. Thanks Dyson!

not what I was expecting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my apartment, I have hardwoods and carpet. This does not vacuum well on carpet, gets clogged very easy with hair. I need to blow it out with my hair dryer. Not user friendly and wish I would known that is does not vacuum carpet. Very disappointed.

While I'm not certain if this was a direct purchase through us, we do specifically list this unit on our website as a hard floor vacuum. The head of the machine does feature dual soft-rollers, which are only able to effectively be used on bare flooring. This vacuum is not intended to be used on carpeting, and won't work properly on those surfaces. If you have any other questions/concerns, please get in touch with us directly at askdysonUS@dyson.com.

Small but mighty!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I opened the box, I thought this was no competition for my dogs. Well, I was wrong. The suction is impressive! (It’s a Dyson after all!). The dust cup is small so needed to be emptied 2x to finish the job but wasn’t a problem. The only reason for 4 stars is that I have carpets in certain spaces and this is best for hard floor surfaces, as a result,I needed to get out my other dyson to cover all my needs. I think that this would be great for an apartment dweller with hard floors.

3rd Dyson cordless vac

We liked the idea of the size of this vac for quick pickup on our hardwood floors. This unit is light and easy to maneuver. However the suction doesn't seem to line up with the Dyson brand. Age at best, so that makes this unit overpriced for what you get.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Omni-directional soft roller head features 2 counter rotating motorized soft rollers, and 360 degree castors which allow the floor tool to move in any direction. Doesn't Pick up Debris

First unit was a bust and didn't work. Got it replaced and I never use this cordless vacuum because it doesn't pick up debris. I have hard wood floors and they never seem clean. I use my old Hepa V7 to clean my floors. It still works. If I could return this omni glide I would. Thought I was buying the latest and greatest, but still using the old V7.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fantastic purchase - Cleans 1250 sqft Apt!

I recently moved on from my 11 year old Miele canister vacuum to the Dyson Omni Glide, and I couldn’t be happier. That Miele is a hard worker - light but powerful. Got us through the kids growing up. Still works well. However, i have strong back pain. I am just in my 40s but it’s very painful to constantly bend down to unplug the vacuum and move it from room to room (in addition to moving furniture or bending down to vacuum underneath furniture). So I was looking for a battery operated stick. I had one from LG many years ago and remember how easy it was to vacuum.
I must say I love the Dyson Omni-Glide! I was shocked to see how small and light it was - and how easily it glides on the floor, turns the head, gets under furniture etc. Soo easy!
We have a 3 bedroom, 2 BA - 1250 sqft. - all hardwood except for two areas with rugs (jute, and low print rug). My daughter recently moved out for college so it’s just me, my son and our cat. I also significantly downsized and decluttered our posessions so it’s much easier to maneuver around & clean. Now it takes me just 15-20 minutes to vacuum including under the furniture. The little dust container is never completely full and I have never run out of battery so far. I do vacuum 2x per week. Because it’s so easy and fun, I can quickly slide it in between other activities - just did now while waiting for dinner in the oven to cook.
So vacuuming is NO LONGER A PROJECT in itself. Highly recommend if your place is usually well maintained.
