Easy does it!

Works great but once the bottom (suction part) gets a little dirty it stops the suction - and this happens very frequently which pro longs the task at hand. Battery should last longer than what it lasts. Great for wood floors .

Perfect for hardwood floors

Recently we had hardwood flooring installed in our home and we were researching for the best/safest option to clean our floors. We found the omni-glide and decided to give it a try since we have several other Dyson product as including a vacuum and have loved them all. The Omni-glide is perfect for hardwood or any other hard flooring. It cleans while not damaging, is feather light and very easy to maneuver. I could not recommend it more!

Amazing design but...

I've been using this for a few months. At first I was blown away by the design and usefulness. However, I soon became aware of a real flaw. The problem is with hair...mostly longer human hair but all hair is problematic. It picks it up great but the container clean-out is a problem. Some hair will get past the filters and baffles and becomes tangled in the machine. It is difficult to fully remove the hair.
Also, if one runs over any moisture it will tend to gum things up a bit

horrible wall mount

The vacuum itself is a bit weak, but the power is low to keep the weight in check.This makes it super convenient to grab for a quick sweep. It's a tradeoff. The crevice and duster is too long with this design and awkward to use. Still, that's a known tradeoff so because you are buying this specifically for the optimization, we're still in 5 star territory.
The thing that kills it for me, is the useless wall mount. It is vertically spring loaded for some reason I can't figure out. It isn't positive locking, I supposed because the weight is so light they thought it would be ok. And not having to rotate the stick up, with lots of horizontal clearance required for that, is certainly a mounting advantage. But without a positive lock, it falls off the wall when I close the adjacent door which causes a slight vibration.
On top of that, the utter uselessness for even an area rug means you need another vacuum as well. Even with the specific optimization, they should have had a carpet head, weak as it would be, for light cleanups.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great products

I have regular Dyson Vacuum, a V11, and now I have purchased the OMNI GLIDE. It keeps getting better. I used the V11 on my area rugs and throughout my home, until I found the Omni glide which I use on hard surfaces in the living area, kitchen, closets, bathroom. It is wonderful and swivels easily making cleaning a snap. I leave it out and use it everyday to clean up as needed. A great tool…a great buy.

I bought this vacuum to use on my hardwood floors. I am pleased with the mobility of the vacuum head; however, the head stops rotating when vacuuming and accumulates tuffs of debris that has to be removed manually. Also, hair, dust, and other particles accumulate in the bind having to be removed with a toothbrush due to the small container. The vacuum does it’s job but I would not recommend this unit for homes with a lot of debris. Especially homes with pets and people with long hair. Best for light clean ups.
