Really good for quick cleanups

Got this to do quick cleanups and "around the edges" cleaning (I have a robot vac for day-to-day). It does a great job getting into the little spots under furniture, behind doors, and etc. where a robot vac cannot reach. I wish it was a bit more versitle, for example it is pretty akward to use as a handheld vac to pick up pet hair from furniture, but considering I was able to purchase it at a discount I am pleased with the value and performance.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Difficult to clean

It worked great at first but the rolls are difficult to clean and i have to manually remove dust balls when I’m dumping everything out. Things get stuck in the hose part. Not happy at all with my purchase
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great for light duty on hard flooring

My home is hardwood flooring throughout and about 1200sqft of living space. The omni glide did a good job of picking up dust and debris prior to my steam mop routine. Previously I used a DC14 (from ~2007?) for the same job. The Omni glide was easier to use, did a better job and is much lighter (of course). Also, going from a corded upright to a stick I did not experience my vacuum chasing me down and smashing in to my ankles anymore.
The omni glide did not have enough suction to get kitty litter sized debris from tight corners at the baseboard so I still hit those with my Root6 handheld (from 2009?). I used only regular power to time battery life and even with 3 breaks for bin emptying I got about 15 minutes of run time --alllllmost enough time to go through the whole house.
I bought this unit because it was recommended for hardwood floors. I think it should be stress that this is for light duty and not for whole house (the short runtime gives it away). I am still very happy with the purchase because it is the ideal tool for quick cleanup of litter box area, kitchen, foyer so you can comfortably walk barefoot. For these jobs I would normally use a broom to gather the dirt then my root 6 handheld to collect it. I do recommend getting a full strength model for whole house cleaning.
The charging mount is a little disappointing as it is not intended to suspend the unit above the floor. Rather, the head of the unit rests on the floor and leans in to the dock. I installed a small shelf for the head as I really hate leaving things like that on the floor.
Overall I am really happy with the Omniglide. It is not up to the job I thought I would use it for, but it turns out to be perfect for small jobs that were annoying or even inconvenient to do with a handheld.

L O V E! Makes vacuuming easy & FUN

I love everything about this little powerhouse; it’s sleek design & colors, it’s super light weight (especially compared with the Animal Ball behemoth I use for the down stairs ) , stealth maneuverability ( even flat to get under my bathroom shelving!), quiet operation, and ultra-smooth glide ability- I LOVE using it!
I bought this to keep upstairs, which is mostly tile & wood.
Even when my floors don’t look dirty, I’m always surprised at all the dust, pet hair & cat litter it picks up (the clear canister makes it very satisfying to see what’s no longer on my floor!) & it’s the perfect size to use on the stairs.
The only reason is didn’t give it 5 stars is I wish it had a battery meter to show when the charge is low.
It actually makes vacuuming fun!
I would recommend this to a friend!

This vacuum is a great concept, but the collection section is too small if you have pets. Could benefit from better suction.

Efficient yet inefficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Omni is great on my reclaimed hard wood floors but the dust bin gets filled almost instantaneously, therefore it negates the great technology it is equipped with, like the battery life, the suction power, the weightlessness, and ease of use. The dust bin is almost impossible to empty without sticking my fingers in it to remove the dog hair, dirt, etc..all of things that you don’t want to touch. It is definitely not ‘hands free’ in that respect, rather on the contrary it’s rather gross to have to hand remove the dirt you collected after vacuuming.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
